Had a nice, relaxing trip up to Collins Lake this weekend. The lake level was down and the weather was cool but the DW limited out on trout (as usual)! Met up with Loanshark and friends (really nice folks). Compared notes on our Lance trailers and overall had a very relaxing weekend. Truly wish we could make it to the Northern CA LAO rally in January but, due to prior commitments, we won't be able to. Did see one other Lance TC at Collins and a couple on the road on the way home.

Hello, My husband & I just purchased our Lance Camper 1191 this weekend and have recently become LOA members! This forum stuff is all new to me, but I'll give it a shot! Anyways, I was excited to see that there will be a rally in January 2014 at Lake Solano Park.. this is great because it's near where we live! The only bad thing is that we have a conflict in the dates. I work in the sales industry and I'll be away at a trade show. Although we have friends that we always go camping with...

Wow, we are the little rally that could like the little train... I think I can, I think I can and now look where we are! Awesome! Is it time to start a conversation on a a schedule and suggestions on communal meals? There was a conversation on a breakfast but not sure what else has been discussed. if we have some suggestions, I will put together an itinerary to post in a common area. Friday afternoon/evening everyone will be arriving and setting up so an easy potluck of food and beverages...

Bruce, You just missed a NorCal Rally at Lake Solano Park (near Lake Berryessa) in January! Hopefully, like the Pismo Rally, they will hold it again! WoodGlue

Attached is a YouTube link showing each individual campsites at LaPine State Park. Since the video starts with the cabins and sites 1,2, 3...., you may want to fast forward approx. 6 min. into the video to get to site 60 or so. There is no sound associated with this video. Oh NO!! The date will not work for us, we have High School Graduation that week and will not be able to attend. That is a beautiful park, we stay there often (went there right after the first of the year) and I know you will all enjoy your stay. If you like seafood I would recommend the Newport Cafe, small place but great food. Happy Camping everyone. Bryan and Tanna

There are only a couple of sites left in the entire park, if you have any interest I’d get it booked pretty soon, within the next few days. If you miss getting in you’ll have to watch the reservation site daily, they will get cancellations once in a while...

We took a little ride to the Rim today, got some great photos! Although the Aspen CG is closed, the trails are open and we hiked around CG and Lake. Lots of fishing going on today! Not sure if anyone caught any. Ran into a small herd of young elk, the girls had fun. Our campsites look great! Lots of shade! Here’s a few pics of our view.

Rob! We gave one away at RITV 3. Joe they work very well and a number of my Lance friends have installed them. One installed one in his 2285 with a 15k btu and runs it with a Honda 2000i. If caught in a hot area, we find an RV park with hookups! Happy Campers BobnRobin

I live in Payson AZ . Just drove my Jeep up to woods canyon and willow lake and drove the 300 rim road yesterday. Everything is pretty dry . Here’s what’s happening locally http://www.paysonroundup.com/n...2b-5a7c6a793fe5.html Woods canyon and willow lakes area remains open. Enforcement is strict on fire restrictions.

Thanks to Galvanizd for posting this. We have found that during fire restriction times we were still able to use our portable fire pit with lava rock and propane. Not sure if that will be allowed given the extreme dry conditions right now. Hope for rain before June 6-12 rolls around. Really looking forward to meeting everyone! We would like to plan a nightly happy hour at 5:30pm, at out site 117. This gives everyone time to eat then come relax for an hour or two with their favorite beverage.

Rob and Jayne, I want to thank you both for organizing a wonderful getaway for us Arizona Lance Owners. Woods Canyon Lake is now going to be a recurring trip for us. Wow, I’m sitting here on the last night of the Woods Canyon Lake trip and thinking I don’t want to go back the the valley. Met some truly great people, laughed a lot, got a lot of photos to be posed here. Thanks to everyone that made the trip. Without all of you the memories wouldn’t be the same. What an outstanding, memorable weekend!! Rob, you hit it out of the park! As you probably assumed, I was intrigued by your photography and the ham radio setup you had up there. It was absolutely fascinating watching your efforts to get the best shots of the birds and the communication with folks all over the western hemisphere via your radio and wire set up in the trees! I truly enjoyed the weekend!!!
