Okay, after doing some review reading on Amazon, I decided on this model. A little more money but has no sharp edges. https://www.amazon.com/APL-Pap...GVK4M2ENRRT8XA1T3KZH

Add another positive review. We really enjoy our Solo stove Bonfire. Works just as advertised. Big flame from very little wood.

Nice review S & B. We have the Coleman Powerchill ( https://www.amazon.com/Coleman...Cooler/dp/B0083F8YZC ), but it doesn't have wheels and the fan is fairly loud (on both 12 volt & 110 volt). It works pretty good, but we actually don't use it much. Yours looks to be of higher quality.

Terrific write-up Randy! Excellent comparative points and real-use mentions. While we are very happy with sheets & a comforter (we only tuck in the bottom & not the sides) this might be something to give a fresh look at. Thanks for the review(s).

If you were to go old school like I prefer to do (I even still write checks in some cases & pay cash whenever possible) and call them direct you would find that they - the manufacturer of this TPMS - are absolutely not out of stock as well as you just might be happily surprised at the final shipped-to-your-door price with a little human interaction. And if that still isn't your cup of tea Amazon beats both of the places you posted above. Not much more I can add so do with the info. what...

Honda EU2000i Generator Review

WoodGlue ·
I recently rented one from Home Depot despite the negative attitude of the rental guy (that it wouldn't run my 2014 9k A/C) HA! I did my research and guess what, it worked beautifully! Easy to start (one tug) and worked almost silently. The thing is you don't start it in ECO MODE, full on power is what you need. Now the newer 9k units might be a little more touchy as Coleman-Mach has made changes to the 9k, so that's iffy. If you have a newer model 9k, I'd rent one and see how it runs. For...

RSI Smartcap

Flatcat ·
Just a preliminary review, only had it for 3 days so far... Got an RSI Smartcap installed on my F-150 this week. The Smartcap is a canopy manufactured in South Africa. Pros: Made of stainless steel, not fiberglass. Custom version available for many newer truck models. Weighs less than fiberglass, ~200 lbs. Integrated rails for attaching racks or other items to the top. Very strong, can hold 330 lbs on top while moving, 770 lbs stationary. Sides feature gullwing glass panels that flip up,...

Blackstone 17" review and question

Allendale ·
There I was, going along with naught a care in the world; then I read here on the LOA forum about something called a "Blackstone Griddle". So now we have one. 17". It seasoned up pretty well and I fixed bacon wrapped tenderloins and fried potatoes tonight. I think it is going to work out well. It appears it will fit nicely in the long slide out storage area, but I need something to put it in - particularly the griddle. My instincts and innate parsimoniousness lean heavily toward a cardboard...

Airlift 1000 HD Install and Review

JonathanC ·
I know there has been some mixed opinions about Airlift 1000 HD air bags on this forum. A little background. I have a 2018 Ram 1500 4x4 Big Horn. Rams ride darn near like a car however, I believe one reason for that is Rams have coil springs on the rear vs. leaf springs. So with that comfort comes a little trade off of “firmness” when towing. I have a e2 Equalizer trunion WDH professionally installed and while towing my 2015 2295 I still felt the rear suspension was a little soft and had...

The Greatest Tool

Glenn B. ·
Doing a search, I know it's been mentioned before but I think it is worth another review. Since I bought my trailer in late 2018 I have towed it every year at least 3,000 miles. And every year I go through it, taking off all those little decorative covers that cover up all those little Robertson screw heads. And many if not most need re-tightening. So if your not aware, spend the few bucks and spend the time and buy a Robertson screw driver and do the same. Hope that helps.

Chins is another Lithium mfg. that is quite a bit less than Battle Born. It is in the neighborhood of $400.00 for a 100 amp battery with a bms system built in. Will ( the guy in the video) liked it in a review. Link below and you can select the amp hour you desire if interested. https://www.amazon.com/LiFePO4...e/dp/B08FMTRYPT?th=1

Condensation - The cure for damp bedding … Hypervent

Jettaknight ·
This is a review of a product called “Hypervent”. It has been mentioned in previous posts, but since we recently installed this under our RV mattress I wanted to pass along my thoughts and recommendation. We have been living full time in our trailer this winter in the Seattle area. It’s been a particularly damp winter with a significant cold spell. As a result, we were plagued with a damp underside of our mattress and bedding. This, even though using a dehumidifier and using limited amounts...

Re: 2013 Lance 2385

KS Farm Girl ·
Our 1885 is listed as a 2014, but was built in 2013. Our slide very likely is the same as your 2385. What are you needing to know? We did have to have the slide bolted into the wall as it had an issue with the frame pulling away from the outer wall. We did lighten the load in the drawers to less than 50 lbs each, which is what Lance recommends, this includes the outer storage area. Otherwise, we haven't had problems with it. Attached is Lance's 2013 brochure that may give you some info.

I thought I'd chime in here. DW and I have used our Nature's head for four years. It's been fantastic! I'll reiterate @kaypee's cogent comments. I couldn't possibly imagine doing a water flush toilet, loading a black tank, traveling with several hundred pounds of you know what, and then waiting in line to dump the stuff. I can do the NH maintenance when and where I want to. This is my most recent post about the NH composting toilet. https://community.lanceowners....a-new-twist-series-2 I...

Smash and Grab Product Review

Buckmountain ·
It drives me nuts when I see a news report about flash mobs attacking big box stores and stealing hundreds of items with impunity. Recently LOA covered the topic of catalytic converter theft. Another major law-breaker problem is smash and grab where perps break car windows and quickly exit with valuables. Unfortunately, RVers often carry some pretty expensive stuff: GPS, TPMS monitors, digital cameras/GoPro, tools, camping/fishing/hunting gear, extra cash, etc., i.e., a target rich...

Propane tank on truck camper

Howie N. ·
I have a new 2022 1172 camper. The 2 seven gallon tanks have a single port. I saw on a review a tank with 2 ports, one for the gas connection and a second with a gauge. Or, any suggestions for a gas gauge that will fit the single port tank and still allow enough room to close the door. Also, any experience with getting the tanks filled without having to take them off the camper?

I have the 30qt unit from BougeRV. The thing about this company is the customer service. It is excellent... Sent me a new unit just because I said one was not maintaining temperature. 27K Mile Tire Review: Michelin Agilis CrossClimate

Crewzer ·
Discount Tire rotated and balanced the Michelin Agilis CrossClimate all-weather tires (LT275/70R18E 125/122) on our 2019 F-350 last week. The tires now have 27K miles on them, mostly while carrying our TC. After 27K miles and regular rotations, the tread depth has worn evenly from 12.5/32” to 8/32”. If I run them down to 4/32”, then I should get 51K miles out of them. If I bottom them out at 2/32”, then 63K. The tires performed wonderfully when we crossed paths with the Texas snow and ice...

Another Andersen WDH review

henrypretz ·
A ton of LOAers use the Andersen so this will mostly echo the great reviews that proliferate the forum. My biggest reason for switching from the EazLift Trekker that came with our camper was the lighter weight. The Andersen head is literally half the weight and takes half the time to hook up/unhook as our old hitch. It is effective sway control and distributes weight more than adequately for our application (Ram 2500/2020 Lance 2285). Installation was simple and the Andersen allows...

I wanted to follow up on my initial brief review of our Andersen WDH. We did a slightly longer trip last week, around 700 miles with much of the driving on CA-1 north of the SF Bay Area. On our drive up we encountered wind gusts reaching 30+ mph. The rig (Ram 2500+Lance 2285) handled the conditions flawlessly. Coming home today over the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge the ride was solid as a rock, with zero sway. I did get some bounce over the expansion joints, but based on our previous drives on...

SpartanStart – Soft Start

I’ve been considering adding a soft start for some time now. I recently noticed a large influx of competing models to the original Micro-Air. Of course, most of them are made in China with questionable warranty and reputation. Then I noticed the SpartanStart – Soft Start. I did a search here and did not see any reviews or comments. I promised Gary at Inverters-R-US that I’d write a review here after installation. The SpartanStart is made in Australia and comes with a 3-year warranty. Sold by...

Well, Ok. It really was a two part review. The significance of "running" was referring to the 2k watt generator inverter. If I wrote a review as you suggested, such as: "I installed it and it started" then I believe I'd probably get a few questions for more detail.

Re: SpartanStart – Soft Start

Doug, aka Atchafalaya Man ·
I understand that, @Charlie1 and knew that you knew the score. It's a technical point that one must be cautious to not mix the two events during generator operation. Some could interpret a mixed report to believe the device will improve the running side of things. No harm or foul meant by me. Apologies if it came out that way.

Ultra-Fab Phoenix 4000 tongue jack

I recently replaced our Smart Jack with the Ultra-Fab Phoenix 4000 . Common sense should have had me going with the Husky, but the claims of faster speed and the 10 year warranty were too strong to resist. I'm weak like that 😉 We have just used the Phoenix on two trips and in the driveway, but my impression is positive so far. The jack is, indeed, very fast. So fast that it has taken some getting used to to operate in smoothly. The sound level is comparable to the Smart Jack. It does shine...
