How It Works:

Professional detailers and hardcore enthusiasts wash dirt from cars as gently as possible. The wrong touch pushes dirt around and grinds ugly scratches and swirls into the shiny finish. The TORQ Professional Foam Cannon Snow Foamer adds a blanket of super-slick and slippery car wash suds to lubricate any abrasive dirt particles. Prepare the TORQ Foam Cannon by filling the soap solution tank with water, then add 1-3 ounces of your favorite Chemical Guys car wash soap. Gently rinse down the car with water to remove any loose debris and grime, then attach the TORQ Foam Cannon Snow Foamer and cover the car with soapy suds. Fine tune the soap mixture knob to the desired foam thickness, and adjust the front fan nozzle to the perfect spread to quickly cover any vehicle. The bubbly soap begins to break down and lift stuck-on dirt and grime from the surface of the vehicle, surrounding it in slick car wash soap lubricants. As the foam slides down, it gently pulls the dirt to the ground before the detailer even touches the surface with a wash mitt.

My Review:

I LOVE THIS KIT!  This has completely changed the way I wash my trailer and reduced the amount of time required to fully wash and dry my 2017 Lance 2185.  I should note that it does require a pressure washer (Gas or electric but a minimum of 500 psi is required).  I rinse the surface layer dirt using my SunJoe Electric pressure washer and a 40 degree tip.  Then fill the foam cannon up with warm water and add 2-3 ounces of Snow Foam Auto Wash.  Attach to the foam cannon to the pressure washer and get ready to have some fun.  I know someone may comment that auto wash is not appropriate for a trailer; however, this wash is formulated for maximum foam and is trailer safe.  The foam is amazing and coats the trailer in a thick foam layer..  The foam helps break down, bugs, grime, dirt, oils and road debris.

After foaming the trailer, I use a two bucket wash method; one bucket with with water and grit guard to rinse a microfiber wash mitt, and a second bucket with Honeydew soap and water, to clean the trailer.  The rinse bucket ensures that I will not be picking up dirt and debris and spreading it back onto my trailer causing scratches.  I have been able to cut my wash time down to about 20 minutes and the foam ensures that I do not miss any spots.  I have tried many soaps and wash methods but have not been able to get the trailer as clean and shiny as I can with the Chemical Guys TORQ Foam Cannon  & Honeydew Snow Foam Wash (See pics below).  The kit can be purchased from Chemicalguys.com or Amazon for about $75 to $100.  You can find cheaper foam cannons on Amazon for about $17 that probably work the same.  The cost of a wash for my trailer in Southern California is about $100 plus tip.  I feel that this kit, albeit expensive, is worth the money and will pay for itself over a wash or two.  The images below are a wash after a 700 miles round trip from Ventura, CA to the Colorado River, Parker, AZ.  Look at that shine!

This is awesome!  I love the Chemical Guys products...I just might have to get this kit. Question, though, how does one dry this beast?  I've thought of using a squeegee, but want to avoid scratches...and can't afford the De-ionized water systems just yet...

I use another Chemical Guys product to assist in drying.  It's called Chemical Guys After Wash.  "Chemical Guys After Wash is an advanced moisturizer that aids the drying process. The innovative drying aid repels water, adds lubrication, and creates a streak-free shine when drying any vehicle."  This stuff is great.  I spray it on an entire side and the water beads off.  It also lubricates the outside of the trailer so that you will not scratch it when using towels to dry.  I only use microfiber towels.  Check out the video below and you can see how it repels the water from the surface.  And for that extra shine, it has hybrid gloss technology.  Works great but buy the spray bottle and the gallon refill because you will go through it quickly.  It's 14.99 on the Chemical Guys Website.

What GPM rating would be minimum to use? Looking at getting a more portable unit that I could bring with me on my upcoming six month trip, and since I have a new truck and HATE truck and camper washing, this process looks more efficient.

The website says, “Works with any gas or electric pressure washer: 500-3,500 PSI.”

I am using an electric pressure washer made by Sunjoe - model SPX3001.  It’s 2030 psi at 1.76 gpm.  And yes, this method is much less time consuming and the finished product is fantastic.  I loved being asked if my trailer is brand new because it looks so shiny and new.  Three of my neighbors have also bought similar setups after seeing me wash my trailer and vehicles.  They also are very satisfied with the products and results.

This one looks portable and light enough to travel with (from Amazon):

The foam cannon is a must have for any hard to reach or large surface areas. I originally purchased one to help clean my HD motorcycle. See attachments. It was impossible for me to get my big hands into all the nooks and crannies. I now use it on all my vehicles.

The foam cannon decreased my wash time by half. That being said, it's important to note that it works best on a well polished surface. So you do need to spend the time and effort getting the surface as smooth and slick as possible to start with. Once you've done that, future cleaning will we be much easier.

To minimize the scratching of the paint I use my 5hp Shopvac as a blower to dry off the the vehicle. I then apply a spay on detail polish/wax. A couple of times a year I will apply a high quality paste was. The results are awesome.

I am currently researching the best way to remove the light hazing from our recently purchased 2017.5 2185 TT. I have read not to use ANY kind of abrasive polish on the exterior surface. Once I find out the proper way to remove the haze I will apply a high quality wax. I have cleaned all the exterior glass and applied RainX to them. This helps tremendously with preventing water from calcifying to the glass causing spotting. Again it takes some time and effort but end result is worth it.

If it isn't apparent yet i'm a little OCD when it comes to maintaining my vehicles. But I also keep them much longer then most. For instance, our 2185 TT is replacing our 1995 Starcarft tent trailer that is in excellent condition. Anyone interested please let me know.
