Had a nice, relaxing trip up to Collins Lake this weekend. The lake level was down and the weather was cool but the DW limited out on trout (as usual)! Met up with Loanshark and friends (really nice folks). Compared notes on our Lance trailers and overall had a very relaxing weekend. Truly wish we could make it to the Northern CA LAO rally in January but, due to prior commitments, we won't be able to. Did see one other Lance TC at Collins and a couple on the road on the way home.

Hello, My husband & I just purchased our Lance Camper 1191 this weekend and have recently become LOA members! This forum stuff is all new to me, but I'll give it a shot! Anyways, I was excited to see that there will be a rally in January 2014 at Lake Solano Park.. this is great because it's near where we live! The only bad thing is that we have a conflict in the dates. I work in the sales industry and I'll be away at a trade show. Although we have friends that we always go camping with...

Wow, we are the little rally that could like the little train... I think I can, I think I can and now look where we are! Awesome! Is it time to start a conversation on a a schedule and suggestions on communal meals? There was a conversation on a breakfast but not sure what else has been discussed. if we have some suggestions, I will put together an itinerary to post in a common area. Friday afternoon/evening everyone will be arriving and setting up so an easy potluck of food and beverages...

We took a little ride to the Rim today, got some great photos! Although the Aspen CG is closed, the trails are open and we hiked around CG and Lake. Lots of fishing going on today! Not sure if anyone caught any. Ran into a small herd of young elk, the girls had fun. Our campsites look great! Lots of shade! Here’s a few pics of our view.

Nice photos Gene.... usually there is a lot more snow than that, I hope they get a lot more before winter closes out or else it will be bone dry come June!

I live in Payson AZ . Just drove my Jeep up to woods canyon and willow lake and drove the 300 rim road yesterday. Everything is pretty dry . Here’s what’s happening locally http://www.paysonroundup.com/n...2b-5a7c6a793fe5.html Woods canyon and willow lakes area remains open. Enforcement is strict on fire restrictions.

Thanks to Galvanizd for posting this. We have found that during fire restriction times we were still able to use our portable fire pit with lava rock and propane. Not sure if that will be allowed given the extreme dry conditions right now. Hope for rain before June 6-12 rolls around. Really looking forward to meeting everyone! We would like to plan a nightly happy hour at 5:30pm, at out site 117. This gives everyone time to eat then come relax for an hour or two with their favorite beverage.

The store at the lake has all kinds of fishing supplies. It’s not the biggest but has a lot of the most commonly used items there... Rob

Rob and Jayne, I want to thank you both for organizing a wonderful getaway for us Arizona Lance Owners. Woods Canyon Lake is now going to be a recurring trip for us. May never have found it without your invite, thanks again. So good to meet new friends and share our love of the outdoors! The grandsons got their first fish and more! All in all a super weekend. Wow, I’m sitting here on the last night of the Woods Canyon Lake trip and thinking I don’t want to go back the the valley. Met some truly great people, laughed a lot, got a lot of photos to be posed here. Thanks to everyone that made the trip. Without all of you the memories wouldn’t be the same. Mike and Kari, thanks for making the trip. Hope to see you guys next year, I want to go on one of your morning walk-abouts... I think you had the right idea! Great back lit shot Kari, love the baby elk pic, never gets old. Our next door neighbors took their inflatable boat to the lake this morning and saw a femal go into the lake and bathe for about 20min.... i’d Kill to get photos of that!!! Next time you guys. Rob

I attended the First Annual Texas Truck Camper Rally at Inks Lake State Park last year and can confirm that PJ and her crew at Princess Craft put on one fine rally. They had raffles, an excellent BBQ, a live band with dancing under the stars, coffee in the mornings and a couple of informal camper maintenance seminars. They also had a camper open house. As soon as I was informed about the date and place of the upcoming rally I signed up and am looking forward to attending.

We are new Lance owners ....a trailer, model 1985 as well as new LOA members. Is this rally strictly for Lance slide-in truck campers or any Lance product? We have camped several times at the Amana Colonies park. A great place for a rally. Chuck & Jane

Hi there, Our Group is open to all. All RV types. We started out as just TC's, but some in our group do to circumstances have changed RV's, and still wanted to participate in our events. Well we couldn't say no, so we added the Friends (to include all rv's) We to have changed Rv's so it only seem like the right thing to do. You are more than welcome to come to the 2017 Summer RAlly. I like the "...bring your own supper*..." idea, but IMHO, I would think it would be Ok if folks wanted to bring something to share - like cookies, bars...etc. Hard to say what changes "they" might recommend between now and then. Outdoor events haven't been hampered much to date. "Easygoing...", I agree, folks should feel comfortable to just enjoy the weekend surrounded by fellow Lancers - whether that means gathering close with others, or connecting from a bit further away...either is fine.

Just google attractions for the area, that should tell you...I do know that the places I visited in Wisconsin was beautiful in the fall of the year, this was near lake Superior.

------=====> IMPORTANT NEWS <=====------ Spring Thaw 2023 is heading to Iowa! Due to major flooding at Blackhawk Park, our original plans are underwater. But thanks to some timely help from @KS Farm Girl , we've got an alternate location lined up. Let the adventure begin! Same dates - May 17-21, 2023 but now at Sugar Bottom Campground, near Cedar Rapids, IA. We had to cancel the riverboat tour, but all the rest of the fun is cued up and ready to go! Potluck! Cowboy breakfast!

❤️ the BC Ferries. They do charge by the foot. Meaning from the front bumper of your TV to the back bumper (or ladder) of your TT. Can be kinda expensive, but they treat you well and have cafeteria on board, and some have cabins and movie theaters. Check out their other sailings as well. We took a circle ferry on the Sunshine Coast and island hopped from one port to another, camping at the Provincial Parks along the way. At one campground we were the only ones on the dock on the lake. We...

Thanks Ian - We live in the San Francisco Bay Area so this is a bit of a trip for us. We currently plan to be at the rally two full days and then head up to Banff/Lake Louise and then south from there. I did see a couple of reduced fares in the neighborhood of $173 CA for the trip from the island to Vancouver.
