Hi Engunir, The rally will probably only have Lance owners and anyone else who is interested in Lance are always welcome to stop by or camp with us! We don't have any vendors scheduled, but they're always welcome. Our knowledge base is pretty experienced, so if you or any attendees have any questions we are always there to answer any questions. Wow, all I can say is what a great group of people!! I had the pleasure of spending a night fireside at Pismo with this wonderful group and just got done telling Jack Cole (Lance President), how gracious and fun they were to hang with. We took a little ride to the Rim today, got some great photos! Although the Aspen CG is closed, the trails are open and we hiked around CG and Lake. Lots of fishing going on today! Not sure if anyone caught any. Ran into a small herd of young elk, the girls had fun. Our campsites look great! Lots of shade! Here’s a few pics of our view.

When I made my reservations last night site #111 was still showing available! Also we will have a dog or two along with us as well as the human kind of little ones! I expect our older son will opt to stay in Yuma working and doing school!

Thought about coming up on the maiden voyage of our new 1475, but the link for "reservations", only shows walk up sites, there is no reservation ability. Can't afford to show up on a Friday night and find the place full. Enjoy, maybe we can catch the group next time.

Don't miss out on a chance to share your new trailer and absorb a lot of info from other Lance owners! Come up a bit early (like in the previous posting) and get yourself a site for the weekend. It's a great place to "break in" your new trailer!

Go to this website that has a map of the other camps in the area. While its not with the group its not that far to drive over and spend the days and evenings. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recare...d=80835&actid=29 This is a list of the other nearby camps which are on the map. Sinkhole - Rim - Spillway - Mogollon - Crook In addition there are many areas where you can camp in a "Dispersed" area for free. Contact me if you want or need more information.

It’s usually about 10 degrees cooler than Payson and the temps at Woods Canyon swing about 30 degrees. The forecast as of today calls for low to mid 80’s during the day and the 50’s at night so bring long pants and long sleeve shirts. We always have jackets. If it rains the temps will drop another 10-15 degrees. rob

FYI there is a significant gain in elevation 2610 ft. between Payson at 4890 ft. and Aspen Camp at 7500 ft. You will know that as you chug up that last hill to reach the top of the rim. It will be a lot cooler than Yuma Sgt.

I just got off of the phone with the lady in charge of campgrounds on the rim . I was moving Sunday night over to Black Canyon rim campground for my wife to hopefully see the wild horse herd that lives near there . She called to let me know that its now closed and was able to get me into another campground for Sunday . Anyway I asked about Aspen campground and she said they do not foresee having to close it . There is currently no fires threatening that area .

Wow, I’m sitting here on the last night of the Woods Canyon Lake trip and thinking I don’t want to go back the the valley. Met some truly great people, laughed a lot, got a lot of photos to be posed here. Thanks to everyone that made the trip. Without all of you the memories wouldn’t be the same. I’m glad everyone had such a good time last year. We consider it our little corner of the world and the best escape from the heat of the valley. We will be back at our usual site but we would rather not host every night. We could do one night and it would be nice if anyone that shows up would like to host any additional evening get togethers. I have added an item to allow you to pay for Saturday night though this site. Anyone staying beyond saturday or before thursday will have to do that through the campground directly.

I am still reconciling all of the full hookup sites. In cases where two people requested the same site, I am going off the time of payment, not the order posted here. It is mostly the same but your site may shift a bit so check back later today. There is only 2 or 3 cases of this happening. We still have dry camping sites available and still have saturday night available as well.

Greetings! We left home yesterday and arrived here at Patrick's Point SP IN Trinidad CA for one night. It rained a little bit overnight, so unfortunately that put a slight damper on our hike this morning. In a couple of ours we're set to leave for Sunset Bay SP near Coos Bay. I apologize if this has been discussed but I am making my meal plan and grocery list for the weekend and wondered if Saturday night will turn into a potluck. At the Solano rally I was so concerned with the potluck food that I didn't plan for our individual meals so this time, I want to plan ahead. Thanks and really looking forward to the weekend.

Be Vewry vewry quiet, I'm hunting tigers! Seriously, at night if you hear lions and Tigers roar, it's because Tippi Hedren's Shambala Preserve is right down the road. She has a ton on Lions, Tigers and Ligers plus other animals.

Such a great time! Everyone, and I truly mean everyone, was as fabulous as you would expect. I'll post all of my thoughts on that in the appropriate after-party thread when it shows itself. However, I need to discuss trains, raccoons, coyotes, & lions. Yep, you read that right - raccoons. So after 2 nights in a tent I actually got used to the continuous sounds of trains, coyotes, & lions, but this morning at 5:10 when I crawled out of my tent to start loading my car for the drive...
