SlimPort-to-HDMI adapter for mirroring phone on tv
I/we wanted an easy way to mirror my phone ( LG G3 (with unlimited data)) to the TT's tv to watch baseball games (I have an MLB subscription) & watch movies that are stored on my phone or that I have copies of through the Google cloud. So I ordered aSlimPort-to-HDMI adapter: http://www.slimportconnect.com/ I ordered it from Amazon ($31.20 with Amazon Prime): http://www.amazon.com/Official...ref=cm_cd_ql_qh_dp_t Here is an updated list of supported phones...

Re: LPG Tank Check
I got a pair last June and they work GREAT! We only went through a couple refills, but the level or EMPTY were right on. Had to replace the batteries in both units in January, but with battery readout with propane level no problem. I use the Bluetooth on my Samsung Galaxy and we park our trailer at home, so I can check the level of the tanks from the house, so the transmit distance is real good. It will be interesting when a lot of trailers get them as to how discrete the signals are. Hope...

Garmin nuvi 2797LMT

TireMinder Smart TPMS - Smartphone Based Tire Pressure Monitor for RVs
http://www.minderresearch.com/...ure-monitor-for-rvs/ Our last TPMS (by TST) which we used for the past few years completely failed us last month so it's time to give another one a try. Having a single-axle trailer we realize the many benefits in monitoring the pressure & temperature of the TT's 2 tires as well as the main spare tire and a 2nd extreme emergency spare tire that is for trips that are more than a few hours from home (it will stay home for local trips). The main spare tire...

Re: TireMinder Smart TPMS - Smartphone Based Tire Pressure Monitor for RVs
Final pre-trip report. Once the Bluetooth adapter is turned on the app syncs within 30 seconds. I really like that I get tire psi, tire temperature, & tire sensor battery level readings in a single glance before it moves on to the next tire. I prefer/keep my 2 rolling tires at 62 psi and the spare at 65 psi. * This is a semi-local trip so leaving the 2nd spare (50 psi) at home which rides in the truck bed. Since it's staying home I disabled the TV section so that the app doesn't keep...

Re: TireMinder Smart TPMS - Smartphone Based Tire Pressure Monitor for RVs
Bumping this not-too-old thread.... Just got my Tireminder Smart TPMS and will be installing and setting it up next week when I get back to the trailer down in Tucson. Nice packaging! A couple of questions for those of you that have actually installed and used them. This is going on a 2018 2285 (dual separate battery compartments) pulled by a F250 CCSB truck with a rigid topper on the back. I was thinking of putting the signal booster in one of the battery compartments and, at least for now,...

1) Absolutely you can use the phone for anything/everything else. Even other Bluetooth connections. These were 2 of my very first questions during my initial phone call. 2) Will do.

Re: TireMinder Smart TPMS - Smartphone Based Tire Pressure Monitor for RVs
Tried out the system this morning - everything was quick, simple, & accurate. I first checked all tires with my high-end tire pressure gauge. I then had the system learn all 4 tires. The pressure on all 4 tires was spot on against my gauge. Again, we have 4 trailer tires (with load range & the desired psi) - 1. Driver's side (load range D, 62) 2. Passenger side (load range D, 62) 3. Main spare under the TT (load range D, 62) 4. Extreme emergency spare for longer trips that will ride...

Re: Dometic LP GasChecker (LPGC10)
That seems like a nice device but I have one quesiton. How thick is it, which is to say will it fit in the half inch I have between the bottom of the tank and the surface which the tank's ring pedestal sits on? Are those aluminum feet really necessary? I'm not sure how many questions that ended up being.

Re: Dometic LP GasChecker (LPGC10)
We too have the older, thicker mopeka, works great for us with the phones bluetooth app. They sell a rubber ring for the bottom of the tank, this gives more clearance for the older, thicker sensor. The little aluminum feet are near worthless.

Re: Micro-Air EasyTouch Rv Comfort Control
I don’t find it has that capability like a Nest. Basically, it’s able to Bluetooth to your phone or iPad all of the controls of the thermostat in a fancy app. The advantage is being able to not wake all the way up and trip over the dog to turn the heat on. I can open one eye, hit the app and the red flames icon and go back to sleep. Plus the large print color display is easy to see vs the factory.

Ok. Guess I'll stick with the stock thermostat for now. I can always (try) to make my wife do it (which means I'll get out of bed and do it). Thanks!

VictronConnect Update 5.73
Victron recently released its V5.73 update for its VictronConnect Apple app (see pic below). This update contains several product firmware updates. I downloaded the app update onto my iPhone yesterday, and I updated the firmware in my MPPT charge controller and Smart Shunt this morning, both V2.41. IMHO, these firmware updates are worthy of special mention, as they include a new “summary broadcast” feature for each BlueTooth-connected device in one’s system. If enabled by the user, this new...

Re: TireMinder Smart TPMS - Smartphone Based Tire Pressure Monitor for RVs
Our Minder repeater is mounted in the lower forward nose cone of our 2285. Just inside the driver side storage pass-through door there will be a square panel covering a generously sized hole where one can grab 12V power from the trailer's running lights. I used Velcro to mount it against the back of the nose material. For future-proof troubleshooting purposes I covered the access hole with clear desk/floor protector so I can easily see the green light confirming the repeater is on.

@fpmtngal , Harriet, did you have to add something to the inverter to make it Bluetooth? Mine does not show up on my list of Victron products.

Re: TireMinder Smart TPMS - Smartphone Based Tire Pressure Monitor for RVs
I've been using a Tireminder unit for 6 years. It is an old-fashioned model compared to the newer Bluetooth units. (I have the small monitor suction-cupped to my windshield) But, it has worked flawlessly, providing tire pressures and temps. Thankfully, I haven't needed it for a blowout!!

Re: TireMinder Smart TPMS - Smartphone Based Tire Pressure Monitor for RVs
I've been happy with this unit for thousands of miles. I get a false alarm every once in a while but no big deal. If you want to, you can use an old non-sim card phone as a monitor instead of your working phone. All it needs is the app and working Bluetooth. I bought the booster but don't need it. It's mounted in the driver's side battery compartment and I just clipped it to the battery terminals. If I decided I really needed it I'd try to figure out how to connect it's to switched power.

Re: New Camping “Essential”: Bluetti AC180 Power Station
@Crewzer and @Nutman , It's interesting to read your takes on portable battery power stations. Hopefully others with similar needs may consider it as an option. I hope you don't mind me chiming to tell our story. Would I prefer to have Lithium batteries, a solar array on the roof, an MPPT charge controller, and a big inverter? Absolutely! However, the cost, tools, time, and expertise to upgrade what we have now, at least based on our current camping style is prohibitive. A portable LiFePO4...

Re: New Camping “Essential”: Bluetti AC180 Power Station
When shopping for a portable power station be sure to think about and give consideration to where the location of the control buttons, charging ports, and power outlets are on the unit…….., this is especially important if you plan to place and use the portable power station while it’s inside a cubbyhole or closet in your RV. Some portable power stations have those features on the sides and others have them on the ends of the power station. Also, some portable power stations have the option...

Re: New Camping “Essential”: Bluetti AC180 Power Station
Those are excellent points, Larry! Our Bluetti has Bluetooth connectivity ( 🤔 ), and it is indeed an handy feature. Another consideration is the locations of the cooling vents. Here are pics of our unit charging my bike battery while being partially recharged from a small PV array. 😎 The power station is powerful enough to simultaneously run the chargers for both bike batteries. The smartplug’s ON/OFF and timer features are also Bluetooth enabled. ⏱️ Safe travels, Jim / crewzer

Anker SOLIX F1200 (PowerHouse 757) 1229Wh | 1500W
Purchased an Anker 757 to run a Camco CAM-950 fridge. The fridge and battery are located in a BLACK camper shell on my truck. I emphasize black as since the shell is black it gets extremely hot inside. During the day in AZ two weeks ago the battery level went down to between 40% and 60% during the daytime. On a generator the battery was back up to 100% within 2 hours. The short time allowed me to charge battery back up in morning before leaving trailer to go watch the NASCAR races at Vegas.

MicroAir EasyTouch 352 RV Thermostat
Today I received and installed a MicroAir EasyTouch 352 RV Thermostat and thought I would write up some information about it. It has a lot of nice features - it combines some of the features of smart home thermostats with systems/needs for RVs. Some of the specific RV needs - my trailer came with a Coleman-Mach Quiet series air conditioner with a heat strip, so the OEM thermostat has a setting for electric heat (the heat strip) or gas heat (the Dometic furnace). The MicroAir thermostat keeps...

Re: MicroAir EasyTouch 352 RV Thermostat
That's more understandable, than way I put it. I've only had one host and couple campers, complain about my leaving AC running, while gone for day. Breaker was off once, when I returned, I wasn't impressed. I also had someone unplug boat charger. Of course nobody knew anything about either.

Re: MicroAir EasyTouch 352 RV Thermostat
Interesting question, Robert. My take is.... Bluetooth has a 30 foot range. A WIFI router has a 100-300 foot range. Thus, the thermostat would have a 30 or 100-300 foot range depending on the choice of mode, BT or WIFI. When Harriet walked through her park, her phone was too far from the thermostat to utilize the 30 foot range of the Bluetooth. So, it had to rely on WIFI. It seems to have either picked up the park's WIFI signal or went to a cellphone tower for her request. Either the...
