Hello, My husband & I just purchased our Lance Camper 1191 this weekend and have recently become LOA members! This forum stuff is all new to me, but I'll give it a shot! Anyways, I was excited to see that there will be a rally in January 2014 at Lake Solano Park.. this is great because it's near where we live! Took me a while too Ann. This calendar thread really is more annoying than anything, but it's the only way for our rally to show in the upcoming LOA rally's column.. New posts don't even show up as recent posts.

Hi Allen/Allenc, Welcome to LOA and glad to hear that you are going to join us! This rally will be a great place for you to gain some good knowledge about your new 2285. Let me know how many nights you will be staying. For now I will put down 2 nights until you confirm. This thread that you have posted in is the calendar thread which is fine, but it also is sort of a goofy thread that doesn't show up in "Recent" posts or discussions on the main LOA forum page so posts can get lost or missed...

Hi Engunir, The rally will probably only have Lance owners and anyone else who is interested in Lance are always welcome to stop by or camp with us! We don't have any vendors scheduled, but they're always welcome. Our knowledge base is pretty experienced, so if you or any attendees have any questions we are always there to answer any questions. To date, we have a whale watching trip planned and then there are always wine tasting trips, potluck dinners and such. We also plan on driving at...

This is very new to us. We are so excited and can't wait to get our trips going. We live up in Sonoma county (wine country) so there are many great camping site with in 1-2 hrs from out home. Looking forward meeting new people and learning all we can about RV camping.

Hi being new I was wondering if we could have a LOA get together further north? I don't want to be a bummer but driving 600 miles and staying 3 days seems crazy. There are many beautiful rv parks in northern Ca. there is Bodega Bay (the birds) and petaluma KOA near the wine country and 30 min from San Fransisco and Casini ranch on the russian river by Jenner and the rugged sonoma coastline. just a thought, I know there are plenty of Lance owners in northern CA. I am not knocking Pismo Beach...

Wow, all I can say is what a great group of people!! I had the pleasure of spending a night fireside at Pismo with this wonderful group and just got done telling Jack Cole (Lance President), how gracious and fun they were to hang with. I brought the all new 1052 with the ultraDECKplus bumper and think engunir might want to add this model to his Lance fleet! We are due to get our new Lance 1995 a few days before this event. Newbies. What a way to get started! It was a no brainer...plus it's my birthday. Thanks Randy. We would have loved to have it for RITV 2016, but it doesn't look like that will happen. Dealer models first, and that maybe best, the assembly line maybe fine tuned by then. We're hoping for March. We've just spent 2 weeks detailing our 2285, shines like a new pair of patent leather shoes, even some new graphics!!! Will be good to see ALL of you in Oregon this Summer!! FYI: I met with Ron today. Their new to them 2011 1985 is in great shape. We went over some basics operational items. A lot of the questions brought back memories of when I was a new owner. I have offered to go camping with them (aka: a really small LOA gathering). :-) And......of course I showed him where the low point drains were located....as that was one of my first questions when joining the forum. LOL We had a great time and look forward to meeting up with Ron in the near future.

Thought about coming up on the maiden voyage of our new 1475, but the link for "reservations", only shows walk up sites, there is no reservation ability. Can't afford to show up on a Friday night and find the place full. Enjoy, maybe we can catch the group next time.

Go to this website that has a map of the other camps in the area. While its not with the group its not that far to drive over and spend the days and evenings. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recare...d=80835&actid=29 This is a list of the other nearby camps which are on the map. Sinkhole - Rim - Spillway - Mogollon - Crook In addition there are many areas where you can camp in a "Dispersed" area for free. Contact me if you want or need more information.

Sorry been gone since Friday morning early just now getting caught up . We will be arriving Friday June 8th site 107 staying until Sunday then moving over to Black Canyon Rim campground to hopefully see the herd of wild horses . Heading home from there on Monday . Myself my Wife and two dogs . Just got home from Carlsbad caverns New Mexico with the TT . Had a blast !!!

Well so much for even the possibility of coming up. Our brand new (picked it up last Tuesday) 1475 is caught up in the big de-lamentation issue that is going on with units made earlier this year. It's going back to Prescott tomorrow, then possibly trucked on to Lancaster to have the front end taken off and repaired. Enjoy, and maybe we can join on another AZ get-together once the unit is returned.

Donna and I had a great time, even though we had to leave early. Was glad we got to meet everyone. Hope to see everyone in the near future. Got the trailer back from Tom's today, repaired Frig. It required a new controller board (normally takes two weeks if order (but they took one from another unit). They also had to replace the CO/Gas detector (it kept alarming). The Generator did not work any better back here in the valley, so I used the Costco liberal return policy and got a full refund.
