Question - If the jerrycan is sitting on the ground is this siphon strong enough to transfer the water uphill into the trailer/camper? I currently have (15 years now) and use a drill-powered fresh water transfer pump. It transfers 6.5 gallons in seconds.

It will not siphon uphill. Like any siphon, it needs to be lower than liquid being siphoned. I used it with a 7 gal water container shown here when my back went out and I could not lift it. I use it all the time to empty a 55 gal drum of water into my cabin cistern in about 10 minutes. when I draw water out of the stream, I find a place that is at least level with the water and have no problems pulling it. I have also used it to siphon gasoline from my truck to a container for my lawn mower.

Giles - No WDH/sway control with our small/light properly loaded/balanced 1575. Just the coupler on the ball. I did not have to change the ball height. Jim, I think you could accomplish your mod. What you would need to do would be to buy two liquids jugs. Modify one of them by inserting a bottom drain. From the bottom drain you'd connect the line. You'd have to drill out the bottom side of the main unit and make a slit about 2 times the height of the line. Then you'd need to rout out a bit of the floor to accommodate the line as it feeds back under the head to drain into the black tank. The Oatey plug that you'd use to cap the tank will...

Thanks Erick! The trip is in 10 days. I will definitely be giving these a solid test & a thorough review. All - Erick is referring above to springs that don't have factory stops (& holes) on the ends of the springs. Torklift has a kit for that. However, it sounds like drilling the holes isn't as quick and easy as Torklift makes it sound. Frank - Sorry to hear of your installer issue. Especially now knowing that you could have handled it yourself with absolute ease. Just bought one of these from Home Depot . I already own one of Ryobi's 18 volt ONE+ drill/drivers with two batteries, so it was a bit of a no-brainer.
