2 months ago yesterday we bought a new-to-us truck/TV -
A 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab LTZ (V8, 5.3L, integrated brake controller, factory backup camera, integrated TPMS, remote start, ...), etc ...

I then bought a bed mat -

So last week I asked my fellow LOA'ers about 5th wheel boxes/chests. As it so happened JamesHB is the ONLY LOA'er who actually has one -

Well, now there are 2 of us in the 5th wheel chest club.
I found what I wanted and then started shopping around. Found one brand new at WalMart shipped for $329.88 total. It arrived yesterday. Had 2 minor dings, but otherwise it is in excellent condition. I had to make a WalMart account (simple - just email address & a password), but other than that it was quick & easy. It arrived in 3 days.
It is a DeeZee Red Label Fifth Wheel Utility Chest (DZ8560WB) -

Here is a video review that etrailer.com did on it 3 years ago -

Not much else to say except that I did not want to drill in to the bed of the truck so instead I drilled 2 holes - 1 in each side wall - of the chest so that I could secure it to the front tie-downs of the truck using J-bolts. I'll re-key it at some point (might match it to the Global core & lock/key of our TT). It is extremely spacious inside. I will add some shelving and partitions after we use it for 6 months or so.
Here are some pictures including it engulfing our front porch area upon arrival, various camping items that all fit with the lid closed/latched - including our Westinghouse 2.4K generator, a J-bolt from different angles, etc ... -
