Hitches & Things Lance Trailer Hitch Cover
Let me start of by saying that I am in no way affiliated with Hitches & Things and do not stand to make $.01 from any sales of this item. I did pay for the design fees for this custom made hitch so that the LOA community could buy a Lance hitch cover. I purchased this from Trevor who is the owner and operator. Per his website, "Hitches & Things is based out of Chehalis, WA. It is a company owned and operated by a disabled veteran who is proud to support a variety of charities across...

AP Products Slimshade Door Window
I recently installed the AP Products Slimshade Door Windows on booth doors on my 2017 2185. Total install time was about 30 minutes for two windows. You will need some painters tape and a helper to hold the glass while you tighten the screws. I love the look of all tinted windows and being able to be able to see out of the doors adds an open feeling. The built in shade is great for privacy and keeping sunlight out. I purchased on Amazon for about $90 a piece. I highly recommend the windows.

Re: Clam Six Pack 1660 Mag Screen Tent (or the Worlds easiest/fastest screen room)
We have one (and love it) and my brother-in-law who has a truck camper has one. He puts his in a case (might be meant for skis) and straps it to his ladder for transport. Fortunately we can throw ours in the back of the truck. For anybody with doubts, We highly recommend the Clam!

Re: Clam Six Pack 1660 Mag Screen Tent (or the Worlds easiest/fastest screen room)
We just retired our Clam after about 3 years of use. Out of the 3 years it's probably been set up over half that time. We've used it at home, camping and gate guarding in South Texas. Understand the Texas sun is brutal as are summer storms. Overall this is a good product, easy, as said by others, to setup, good in higher winds if staked well. Downsides are the material has suffered badly in the sun, does and has always leaked at the roof seams ( not bad, but enough to be annoying), and...

Re: Peek Polish
I used Peek polish on a piece of stainless steel yesterday. I was able to get a mirror finish on it quickly. I highly recommend it for metal polishing.

Re: 3rd Annual Shingletown/Northern California Rally
For Folks Attending the Rally I would recommend monitoring the smoke conditions in area. The meny fires in Northern California and Oregon have caused some health concerns.

Re: 2016 Summer Camping in Oregon Rally
Oh NO!! The date will not work for us, we have High School Graduation that week and will not be able to attend. That is a beautiful park, we stay there often (went there right after the first of the year) and I know you will all enjoy your stay. If you like seafood I would recommend the Newport Cafe, small place but great food. Happy Camping everyone. Bryan and Tanna

UPDATE 9/8/16: Appears to have gone out of business... We have had the opportunity this summer to try out two new filtration products from Genius Clear Water Systems: WaterShield In-line Filter , an in-line ceramic fresh-water supply filter with strainer and the WaterShield Ceramic Element Showerhead with built-in ceramic filter and strainer. These can be used in our RVs while camping and also at home in domestic applications such as filtering the drinking water supply and for...

Re: Nature's Head Composting Toilet
Thanks Kaypee and Gsymes for the info! From what I've read in the Composting Toilet Installation post, it seems I need to order as follows: 1) Spider handle option for confined spaces. 2) Right-hand hinge 3) Extra urine tank (optional, but obviously handy!) Are there any other options from the manufacturer that you would recommend?

Big E's List Of Recommended Camping Stuff
I thought I would make a list of stuff, products that have worked well for us. Some of the items are fan favorites, tried and true and widely used and accepted across the LOA spectrum of members. Others are little known, sleeper products if you will. Some have been passionately debated and others, not so much. Hope this list can be of use to somebody. To start things off simple, toilet paper. White Cloud Green Earth available at Wal Mart. Broke down more quickly than every other TP I tested,...

Cabela's Roll-Top Dining Table
On our recent 3-week trip our son from OR joined us for 8 days in and around Lake Tahoe/Truckee flying to & from Reno (great little easy airport by the way!). On the way to the airport for his return flight we stopped at the much-heralded Cabela's store in Verdi, NV. To be honest we were pretty underwhelmed, but we did find one terrific product - a roll-up table - http://www.cabelas.com/product...se.cmd%3FN%3D1104949 27.5" x 47". 13.4 lbs. What sets this one apart from almost every other...

Thetford Aqua Magic Residence RV Toilet
Back in September I changed out the stock toilet in our camper, a Thetford Aqua Magic V hand flush for a Thetford Aqua Magic Residence foot flush. After two camping trips with the new toilet Cyndi and I both agree it was a good change. Here is the stock toilet I removed. And here is the new toilet. Staying with the same brand helped to eliminate any dimensional problems. I looked at some of the offerings from Dometic but there would have been a clearance issue between the toilet and the back...
