RV Sleeping Systems Shootout, Bedmaid vs. RV Superbag
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, our RV Superbag arrived. We have been using a Bedmaid for a few years and have now slept in both and can comment as to the qualities each provides. Bedmaid $239.00 We have thoroughly enjoyed this product. The added ease it affords when folding up the bed and deploying the convertible sofa is a real hit. The sheet is removable for washing and attaches to the comforter with velcro strips. The comforter has two sides, one for winter that is thicker and the other...

Re: Princess Craft Truck Camper Rally, April 6-9, 2017
Bad news came in the form of a jury summons today. U.S. District Court on March 22. It says I need to be available for 30 days so I am changing my status to a Maybe. I have never been selected for a jury but there is always a first time. This really goofs up our plans for our annual April Hill Country getaway. Maybe I'll get lucky.

Most courts will allow you to reschedule your time, as long as you aren't trying to get out of service.

Re: POO-POURRI Toilet Spray
I have avoided using the product. If you watch the many videos put out about the product it always shows that a deep water approach is needed. PooPourri is sprayed on the water surface to form a "barrier" and when "the astronauts splash down" the odor is trapped. No bad odor just a flowery fragrance. https://www.youtube.com/result...rch_query=poo+pourri We are very stingy with the amount of water we use. Does the product still work without the deep water approach?

Re: POO-POURRI Toilet Spray
Jim, I fully understand your view point. But can I assume you use some 'Black Tank' treatment like most of us? We also try too use a minimal amount of water in the bowl, just enough to create a water block to fumes in the tank escaping. Well Poop- Pourri acts as a secondary barrier to control fumes, even with a minimal amount of water and in as much a Very Small amount of Poop Pourri! It's a double down on Black Tank odors! Or a Win-Win odor fighter!! Happy Campers BobnRobin

I don't use that much water. Is your tank really that much bigger than mine?

I think POO-POURRI will still work on a snorkeler as well as a diver. LOL

Re: Trojan 30XHS 12-volt group 30 deep-cycle battery (130 AH)
A good choice! Is the 66-70 lb weight ever an issue being too much for one person to handle alone? The SCS225 battery is more of a marine battery, meaning it is designed to deliver high amps. Do you know how your 30xhs bulk, float, and equalize voltages compare to what your converter/charger puts out, or your solar charger if you have one?

Re: Trojan 30XHS 12-volt group 30 deep-cycle battery (130 AH)
Red, I am in the process of buying the same battery and a battery box. According to specs, t he atwood box you use is about 1/10 of an inch shorter in length than this battery, so I was going to buy a larger box, that has a bit too much extra room, and I am concerned it might not fit in the 1575 mounting area due to more width (I dont have my trailer yet so cant measure it). Is it a very tight fit lengthwise, perhaps a concern, or perhaps limiting tthe necessary ventilation?

Trojan 30XHS 12-volt group 30 deep-cycle battery (130 AH)
Picked up one of these today - http://www.trojanbattery.com/product/30xhs/ With our 1575 and the way that we load it (tongue-mounted bike rack with 3 bikes & 7.5 gallon/30 lb. LP tank) we run with a single battery on the tongue. *We dry camp and have solar &/or generator's depending upon the trip so a single battery has worked well for us for almost 16 years now. Through my work I accrue points towards purchases at certain places. One of them being Battery Systems (where I only had 4...

WeBoost (Wilson Electronics) Drive 4GM Cell Signal Booster
I recently aquired a WeBoost Drive 4GM cell signal booster. The 4GM isn't the latest and greatest offering, that would be the Drive 4GX. I was initially drawn to the 4GX plus RV essentials kit which retails for $619.99. The Drive 4GX by itself sells for $479 and the 4GM for $379. I purchased the Drive 4GM from Amazon Warehouse Deals (technically used) for $273. Both the 4GM and 4GX are rated to boost cell signal by up to 50 db. The difference being the 4GX is supposed to be twice as powerful...

Re: Collection @ Quartzite Jan 17-24, 2019
Hi Dave & Jerri, RITV stands for Rally in the Valley. It a rally at White Tank Mountain reginial park near Surprise, AZ. There is a thread in the Rally section of the forum. The Quartzsite get to gether was started last year for those on their way to the RITV. Just a few extra day of Lance owners camping with other Lance owners. Quartzsite is a mecca for Snowbirds in the Winter. It's going on the same time as the RITV. It a giant Swap Meet and RV show. And yes it's fairly safe, because...

Re: Thetford 550P porta potti - For quick dry camping trips with no dump station access
We have our own personal "dump station" in the form of a sewer clean out with an extension where we park our trailer in our backyard. This makes clean up easy when we don't have access or don't want to bother with a dump station.

Re: Solo Stove Bonfire
Oh, they work and work very well! You'll have flames until the entire load is nothing but coals. Those last few logs will not sit there smoldering. The Bonfire isn't cheap but if you're handy one could fabricate something close. Those problems with wood are real, mainly due to exotic insects. I used the price and transporting wood criteria in my decision to buy the Bonfire, plus using it in my own fire pit at home (I'll soon be a FreeLOAder participant). If I must buy firewood to enjoy part...
