Re: Clam Six Pack 1660 Mag Screen Tent (or the Worlds easiest/fastest screen room)

20andOut ·
We have used ours a few times and it's great for keeping out bugs but we have to use a fan inside to move the air around, it doesn't allow much air movement. 100% a big thumbs up for ease of set up and take down. We store it in the TT during travel and then sit it on the back bumper until I'm ready to set it up.

Torklift Lower StableLoads on a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 towing a Lance 1575

Red Barchetta ·
We recently switched TV's. We went from a more than adequate 2000 Lincoln Navigator with a self-leveling rear-end (air bags) which towed our 1575 easily straight and true to a more than adequate new-to-us 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab LTZ (V8, 5.3L, factory tow package, integrated brake controller, ...). *Here is the thread on our TV switch - http://lanceowners.hoop.la/top...ed-to-a-new-to-us-tv While the truck is much more than adequate to handle our small, skinny, & light 1575...

Re: Nature's Head Composting Toilet

LJJ ·
I looked at the installation videos and set of instructions that are on the Nature's Head web site and discovered that the 830 might not have enough room for an install. The width I have available is 19" and the unit is 17.4" wide. The literature shows that there is 2" needed for the sideward movement to unmount the toilet for it to be emptied. I need to do some more research. One concern was the location of the fan mounted on the side of the toilet getting wet. Many put the fan on the other...

BAL X-Chocks

HavaBrew22 ·
From the manufacturer: The X-Chock Provides added stabilization and prevents tire shifts by applying opposing force to tandem tire applications. Rust inhibitive coating. Plated ratchet wrench with comfort bumper included. Lightweight, easy to store. Lockable for added security with optional 28015 Pad Lock.

I use the x chocks on my TH and find that they do eliminate movement. For my wife and myself, when we travel alone, we don't use them. Too inconvenient for me to set them up all the time. When we take our grand kids along I find them to be very helpful.

I would disagree to a point. Although they do eliminate some movement, for us not that much. Now we have a 5th wheel we use them on and they might be more effective for small trailers.

We used them on our 45' 5th wheel. We had the 6 point leveling system, with these it took 95% of the movement out. Was a great solution, though you do have to really crank them down on the bigger units.

Re: Champion 3400w Inverter Generator - w/ Remote Start

BC23267 ·
We don't have the remote start version, but our 3400 works great on propane to run AC and microwave at the same time in our 825 with no issues. It is only slightly louder than the Honda 2000 (59 dBa vs 57 dBa), but it is bigger than the Honda 2000 and it does weigh just under 100 lbs, so storing it for travel is more challenging. The 3400 has wheels, so I built a 6 foot plywood ramp to pull the generator into the TC and it stores nicely under the dinette table. The ramp lays flat on the TC...

Airlift 1000 HD Install and Review

JonathanC ·
I know there has been some mixed opinions about Airlift 1000 HD air bags on this forum. A little background. I have a 2018 Ram 1500 4x4 Big Horn. Rams ride darn near like a car however, I believe one reason for that is Rams have coil springs on the rear vs. leaf springs. So with that comfort comes a little trade off of “firmness” when towing. I have a e2 Equalizer trunion WDH professionally installed and while towing my 2015 2295 I still felt the rear suspension was a little soft and had...
