Re: Torklift battery box initial review
I installed mine late last week after returning from an 850 mile excursion with my 1985. I agree with your review 100%, including the part that "I'm very happy with it". I like it because everything goes into the box and there is plenty of room, and it only needs one function to unlock it versus undoing the box straps. I purchased the box designed for two six volt batteries even though I'm running two group 24's. I also replaced the locks (plural because I also own the propane lock system,...

Re: 2014 Pismo Beach Rally - 4/3/2014 - 4/8/2014
Hi Engunir, The rally will probably only have Lance owners and anyone else who is interested in Lance are always welcome to stop by or camp with us! We don't have any vendors scheduled, but they're always welcome. Our knowledge base is pretty experienced, so if you or any attendees have any questions we are always there to answer any questions. To date, we have a whale watching trip planned and then there are always wine tasting trips, potluck dinners and such. We also plan on driving at...

Hitches & Things Lance Trailer Hitch Cover
Let me start of by saying that I am in no way affiliated with Hitches & Things and do not stand to make $.01 from any sales of this item. I did pay for the design fees for this custom made hitch so that the LOA community could buy a Lance hitch cover. I purchased this from Trevor who is the owner and operator. Per his website, "Hitches & Things is based out of Chehalis, WA. It is a company owned and operated by a disabled veteran who is proud to support a variety of charities across...

RV Sleeping Systems Shootout, Bedmaid vs. RV Superbag
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, our RV Superbag arrived. We have been using a Bedmaid for a few years and have now slept in both and can comment as to the qualities each provides. Bedmaid $239.00 We have thoroughly enjoyed this product. The added ease it affords when folding up the bed and deploying the convertible sofa is a real hit. The sheet is removable for washing and attaches to the comforter with velcro strips. The comforter has two sides, one for winter that is thicker and the other...

TST TPMS New and Improved Wide Screen Color Monitor
I just received my TST Wide Screen color monitor yesterday and got it up and running on the bench. Wow! The display is real nice with larger digits and added color. However, I do have a few issues I'd like to report. The new monitor is now powered by a 5 volt mini plug just like what one uses for their smart phone (Android, not Apple). This presents a challenge as I had the previous 12 volt monochrome monitor's power cord hard wired into the overhead console in my Tundra which was a nice...

Great Anti Corrosion and Lube Product
Oops, I had originally posted this in the wrong Forum area... A fellow Lance member pointed me to the correct Forum..... I wanted to share this product with fellow Lance owners. About 20 years ago I came across this product at a bike show for lubricating parts on a racing bike. I have used this product ever since to lubricate and protect about anything that is made out of bare metal. This product was developed for Boeing aircraft to lubricate and protect metal hinges and other items on an...

Re: Clam Six Pack 1660 Mag Screen Tent (or the Worlds easiest/fastest screen room)
We just retired our Clam after about 3 years of use. Out of the 3 years it's probably been set up over half that time. We've used it at home, camping and gate guarding in South Texas. Understand the Texas sun is brutal as are summer storms. Overall this is a good product, easy, as said by others, to setup, good in higher winds if staked well. Downsides are the material has suffered badly in the sun, does and has always leaked at the roof seams ( not bad, but enough to be annoying), and...

Re: Torklift Lower StableLoads on a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 towing a Lance 1575
A final final wrap-up - I have left them engaged/in place while we are unhitched for day trips. Definitely a bit stiffer ride, but truly not too bad. It would take less than 3 minutes to disengage all 4 StableLoads, but since the unloaded ride isn't that bad we are keeping them engaged between tows. Great product!

Just another check in - Went on a trip last month and are on one now. Yesterday had us on extremely curvy roads. Rock solid peaceful towing. Absolutely no complaints with this product. A+.

Re: POO-POURRI Toilet Spray
I have avoided using the product. If you watch the many videos put out about the product it always shows that a deep water approach is needed. PooPourri is sprayed on the water surface to form a "barrier" and when "the astronauts splash down" the odor is trapped. No bad odor just a flowery fragrance. https://www.youtube.com/result...rch_query=poo+pourri We are very stingy with the amount of water we use. Does the product still work without the deep water approach?

Re: POO-POURRI Toilet Spray
Jim, I fully understand your view point. But can I assume you use some 'Black Tank' treatment like most of us? We also try too use a minimal amount of water in the bowl, just enough to create a water block to fumes in the tank escaping. Well Poop- Pourri acts as a secondary barrier to control fumes, even with a minimal amount of water and in as much a Very Small amount of Poop Pourri! It's a double down on Black Tank odors! Or a Win-Win odor fighter!! Happy Campers BobnRobin

A friend of Sandy's suggested we try it after she stumbled on to it. It is a great product. We thought it was a joke thing but surprise surprise it really works.

Re: TST TPMS New and Improved Wide Screen Color Monitor
I've had the color display unit since it was first introduced. The major benefit for me is that you charge the unit and it seems to run forever on the battery. In fact, one day it stopped working and it finally dawned on me that I hadn't charged it recently. Not having to plug the monitor in while driving is a major benefit of this product. Mike

Torklift Lower StableLoads on a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 towing a Lance 1575
We recently switched TV's. We went from a more than adequate 2000 Lincoln Navigator with a self-leveling rear-end (air bags) which towed our 1575 easily straight and true to a more than adequate new-to-us 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab LTZ (V8, 5.3L, factory tow package, integrated brake controller, ...). *Here is the thread on our TV switch - http://lanceowners.hoop.la/top...ed-to-a-new-to-us-tv While the truck is much more than adequate to handle our small, skinny, & light 1575...

Re: VIAIR 400P Automatic Function Portable Compressor
Excellent review and photos. I was hoping you'd post a photo with something like a hand next to the unit for size reference but your photo where you stuffed it into the back seat cubby did fine. I agree about coiled air hoses in this type of application. They are stiff and quite often become a nuisance when they catch on things like a tire as you pull the air chuck around to where it's needed. Those inflate times were great but would be even more meaningful if you also included the tire...

Re: Trojan 30XHS 12-volt group 30 deep-cycle battery (130 AH)
A good choice! Is the 66-70 lb weight ever an issue being too much for one person to handle alone? The SCS225 battery is more of a marine battery, meaning it is designed to deliver high amps. Do you know how your 30xhs bulk, float, and equalize voltages compare to what your converter/charger puts out, or your solar charger if you have one?

Re: Trojan 30XHS 12-volt group 30 deep-cycle battery (130 AH)
Red, I am in the process of buying the same battery and a battery box. According to specs, t he atwood box you use is about 1/10 of an inch shorter in length than this battery, so I was going to buy a larger box, that has a bit too much extra room, and I am concerned it might not fit in the 1575 mounting area due to more width (I dont have my trailer yet so cant measure it). Is it a very tight fit lengthwise, perhaps a concern, or perhaps limiting tthe necessary ventilation?

Re: Maxx Air
I found the unit remote very handy...it takes a few times to get all the functions figured out. Once you know the ones you like and use most often you can almost do it in the dark. the fan is very quiet when running below 60%, but at 100% it sure does evac the stale air. Used the circulator once on the last trip, but figured the heater was doing enuf so why use the battery. The data display on the remote is useful and easy to read. I like the current temp info as well on the display. The...
