All In ... Garmin RV 760 + ecoroute + Backup camera

T BROWN ·
Lets see 399.00 + 85.00 + 149.00 + tax YIKS expensive. RV 760 (just local trips so far) rate it 10/10 ecoroute (7/10) - it won't do what I purchased it to do - ie: you can't use E.R. while in RV mode - Garmin "really" what where you thinking...

That's a neat idea. Since everybody sleeps with their phone, now they can sleep with their thermostat control! I wonder if it works with two different phones? That way, the DW and I could do the battle of the thermostat overnight. D

Nice! Can you set this to heat and cool at the same time? For example, my smart thermostat at home allows me to set a high and low point, it turns the heat on when the inside temp dips to 65 and the ac on when the inside temp rises to 75. When camping we tend to use the AC to cool off the rig to put the kids to bed, even if the outside temps are dropping. We found on our last trip this meant when the overnight temps kept dropping we would wake up cold because when we went to bed the t-stat...

I don’t find it has that capability like a Nest. Basically, it’s able to Bluetooth to your phone or iPad all of the controls of the thermostat in a fancy app. The advantage is being able to not wake all the way up and trip over the dog to turn the heat on. I can open one eye, hit the app and the red flames icon and go back to sleep. Plus the large print color display is easy to see vs the factory.

Ok. Guess I'll stick with the stock thermostat for now. I can always (try) to make my wife do it (which means I'll get out of bed and do it). Thanks!

Sorry, I’ve been off grid. I believe it was $229. A little pricey solution. If people would stop purchasing this silly stuff, they would stop selling it!

The LOA also has this in our store. We will also sell it for the "Rally Price." We just cant advertise it for that price. Let me know in this thread if you want one and I will send you a code to get that price. The code will look something like this rallyprice or maybe exactly like that. https://lanceowners.org/produc...touch-rv-thermostat/

Micro-Air EasyTouch Rv Comfort Control

BrianJ ·
We’re staying at Boyd’s in Key West and found ourselves in the middle of a Airstream rally. Micro-Air was the primary vender and was pretty busy installing the EasyStart on the Shiny Trailers. Since we already have the EasyStart and I am a sucker for a “Rally Discount” I purchased a EasyTouch BT thermostat for our Lance. Yes, I know, a fool and his money are soon departed. However, I hate getting up in the wee hours stumbling over the dog to fiddle with the thermostat. The installation was a...

Brian J, one question. I have worked out all the little lights in the trailer at night (microwave, green usb, TV, and Jensen). Does this face turn down or off? It seems really bright.

Thanks, I forgot to add RV Trip Wizard which is now RV Life Trip Wizard. I have used it but not the premium one. I 'm reluctant at being retired to add annual monthly subscription costs for anything, not that we can't afford it, but just despise being constantly squeezed by these costs and having to keep track of them. Thanks again! Larry

RV Trip Apps

Larry Baumgart ·
Trip apps are constantly improving. I have used several different apps like Gas Buddy, ParkAdvisor, RV Trip Diary, AAA, RoadTrippers, KOA, Good Sam, Compendium, Host Camper, and a few others; but the best that I have found currently is RV Parky as it allows me to plan and budget, especially long trips, free, taking into account, mileage, fuel, stay duration, notes. I've used a written RV Trip log but that now seems redundant given the sophistication and ongoing app development.

I have it downloaded but must confess I have never tried it out. I use RV Trip Wizzard because I can plan a trip on my laptop and open it on my phone once we are traveling. I can update it on the phone and then open it on the laptop later and everything is there. I also like that it provides RV-safe routes and warns if your route has anything, such as low overpasses or other non-RV-friendly obstructions. I will have to check RV Parky out a little bit more. I just looked at it and it looks...

Hi Larry, RV Life Pro/Trip Wizard is also billed once annually, so easier to manage. I have no idea why they offer the $19.99 monthly plan when you can get it for $59 bucks in one annual payment. I've been using it for several years now, and find it essential for planning long trips, keeping track of favorite campgrounds, and more. I got "grandfathered in" for $39 bucks as a previous user of RV Trip Wizard when it became part of RV Life Pro. Mike

RV Parky looks really good. Can you export the trip data into a Garman RV890? I have taken to building the trips on the computer in RV life trip wizard then reenter the trip data into the Garman.

At the time I found Trip Wizzard I wasn't using my smart phone nearly as much as I do now. I had a very restrictive data plan so was careful not to go over my limit. Now that I don't have that consideration, I may have to play with other tools. I did start a trip in RV Parky and found it rather easy to use. I'll just have to continue playing with it. I didn't look to see if it would let you add fuel stops with actual prices for each fill-up vs. the totals it gives for estimated costs/fuel...

I don't know, but found the RVParky administrator quite responsive. Interesting concept to be able to export a trip. We only input our current leg of the trip and now wondering what our other options are, especially without losing traffic ahead status. Larry

Do you have an Easy Start ? Did you have any problems with that after you installed your Easy Touch?

I have both the EasyStart and the EasyTouch thermostat. Both have performed flawlessly for over two years. I continue to recommend both. I am not sure if the thermostat has a brightness adjustment however it seems just right to me. The BT feature is worth the entire cost of the devise for me. I use it to control the thermostat in the lance from my phone when awaiting a trip in my driveway at home.
