Coincidink!! We just got this one - Sangean-MMR-88-Emergency-Flashlight-Smartphone Charger Weather radio . Just last week ahead of our cross-country trip. And for the same reason as you did. So far, so good - well it seems to work as described. We had an Eton weather radio a few years ago and it was utter junk. We'd be interested in comparing notes.

What an outstanding, memorable weekend!! Rob, you hit it out of the park! As you probably assumed, I was intrigued by your photography and the ham radio setup you had up there. It was absolutely fascinating watching your efforts to get the best shots of the birds and the communication with folks all over the western hemisphere via your radio and wire set up in the trees! I truly enjoyed the weekend!!!

Midland Weather Alert Radio

DandV ·
I recently got a Midland Weather Alert Radio with Alarm Clock (code on the box lid is WR-120EZ). The idea is to take the guesswork out of inclement weather forecasts when we're out with the TT. So, I'm going to start playing with it tonight to set it up. We want to try it at home for a few weeks before we take it on our next road trip - up to Custer State Park, South Dakota in May. I'll come back later with my thoughts on it. Don

GT - That describes the Warriors of yesteryear. They seem to have found the basket the past few years. Fun to listen to Tim Roye on the radio broadcasts again.

Just did - the Jensen radio display read 'USB Load'. As we have no television attached to the Jensen, that stopped the experiment, right there. We have other solutions for video/audio in the trailer.

Jeff, interesting and informative post. Do you plug the hdmi cable into the front of the Jensen DVD/radio unit or into the television's hdmi port? Alas, your post is too late for me. Just a few days ago I placed an order with Amazon for the Samsung micro usb to hdmi gizmo. Bruce

nm1oqrz - Nice! In my opinion you couldn't have picked a better phone (at the moment). It is far-and-away the best phone that I have ever owned. Smooth, fast, responsive, perfect screen size (5.5") with almost no wasted real estate around the screen, fits in a front pants pocket, double-tap with your finger to turn it on & off, ... If you have any questions feel free to ask. My first suggestion - take it slow. Here are some things I do with my phone - Calls, email, text, alarm clock,...
