Previously, I have been using Homemade upper and lower stableloads.  These have worked great for improving stability with my TC.  However, the lower stableloads caused a very rough ride when the camper is off.  I have thought about Torklift's lower stableloads, but was concerned about them rusting.  (Our DOT and cities use salt for snow and ice melting).

Since Torklift now makes the SS version, I decided to give them a try.  After watching a video and reading the instructions, this looked like an easy installation.  However, I encountered a problem.  The bolts and pins would not easily go through the holes in the base plate.  Using my drill, I ran an exact size bit through the holes a couple of times and this completely fixed the problem.

The stableloads provide about the same stabilization as my homemade ones.  But for me, having them disengaged with the camper off is a great benefit.  My unloaded truck now rides much smoother!

If someone is considering purchasing these, I would suggest checking the bolts and pins to see if they easily go through the holes in the base plate.  This will save time and prevent a headache.  It's an easy fix, but I first attached the base plate to the OL spring, only to find out I needed to remove them again.  I wish I had checked holes before mounting the base plate.

I would rate this product very good.
