How many of you have tried to secure a guy line for your awning or secure your patio matt only to have the pegs bend, brake or get stuck in the ground when the time come to break camp. Enter the 8" timber lock bolt kit. The 8" timberlock bolt kit comes with 12 x 8" bolts and a bolt driver to fit your battery operated 1/2" or 3/8" drill. Couple a bolt with a 1/2" washer I use stainless steel), use your electric drill and drive the bolts through a grommet in your matt or a loop in your guy line and everything is easily secured when the bolts screw into the ground and stay put until it is time to reverse the process to break camp. I purchased my timber locks at Lowes but I'm sure they are available though many outlets. I carry 2 packs at present but plan to get a pact of 10" to be more secure in soft ground or packed sand.
