Lance Hitch X

Let me start of by saying that I am in no way affiliated with Hitches & Things and do not stand to make $.01 from any sales of this item.  I did pay for the design fees for this custom made hitch so that the LOA community could buy a Lance hitch cover.

I purchased this from Trevor who is the owner and operator.  Per his website, "Hitches & Things is based out of Chehalis, WA. It is a company owned and operated by a disabled veteran who is proud to support a variety of charities across our great nation.

Our company donates 7% of your purchase to the charity we have found to best support the cause and/or find a cure. For information on the charities and programs we donate to, please visit the tab "THE CAUSE."  You can view the organizations here: The Cause.

After searching endlessly on the internet and the LOA forums, I could not locate any Lance trailer hitch covers.  I took matters into my own hands and found Hitches & More on ETSY.  The feedback was great and the quality of the items and designs looked superior to his competitors.  Stainless steel hitches with a powder coat that will stand the test of time.  It took us a while to agree on a design and Trevor built it.  What you see is my personal selection as the hitch cover I wanted.  You can submit a design to Trevor but you will have to pay extra for the design work.

When I received the hitch in the mail I was more than pleased.  It is a solid piece of quality craftsmanship.  It is built tough and has a beautiful powder coat.  It fit perfectly on my hitch and I have already been complemented by other Lance owners in parking lots around town.

Trevor has agreed to sell these on ETSY for $57.  You can purchase it here: Lance Hitch Cover.  I love mine.  I would highly recommend Hitches and More for a Lance Trailer Hitch Cover or any custom design you may be looking for.  Below are a few images of my hitch being made through my design to the finished product.

Design #1:

Lance Hitch 1

I didn't like the license plate look and wanted to incorporate more of the "V" swoop thing with rounded edges.

Design #2, This is what I sent back to Trevor:

Lance Hitch

Design #3, Trevor sent me a proof an CNC'd this:

Lance Hitch 2

I approved the design.  Trevor cleaned it up and sent it to powder coating.  Trevor outsources the powder coating to a local shop.  This was picture of the sample they powdered coated:

I Loved the industrial look and the colors were spot on to my request.  I approved and in about a week I got to put it on my TV.  I love it!

Beautiful......excellent job! A real good looker.

I saw no mention of whether you addressed Red Barchetta's copyright concern mentioned in your other thread. Whereas, I'm sure Lance would love to see their logo spread far and wide, lawyers have a way of messing up a perfectly wonderful situation. You might be wise to send Lance corporate an email describing what you're doing and see how they react before getting yourself into legal mumbo jumbo.

I have sent Jim Waters (Lance Marketing Directer) several emails but have never received a response.  This is why I put the disclaimer that I am in no why affiliated with Hitches & Things.
