If any of you are searching for a new camp stove, I highly recommend this one! I’ve been searching for a new stove for awhile, and thought I was going to have to compromise and get one that had some design flaws. I was leaning toward the Camp Chef Everest, but it some some knocks on it, with the biggest being cheap/flimsy plastic latches. I knew I wanted one with 20,000 BTU burners and could handle large frying pans, and the Camp Chef and a Stansport model were the only ones I could find that fit the bill. I was ready to buy when I ran across this new Everest 2X at REI, and immediately ordered it. Amazon doesn’t even carry this model yet! This one has metal latches that also lock the windscreens into place when in use. The burners sound like jet engines when turned up and they put out some serious heat! The flame control is very good and I was able to turn it down very low, which was a problem on a couple of stoves I’ve owned previously. Cleanup was also a breeze! I purchased an adapter hose that enabled me to use 20 lb. propane tanks. Overall, I’m very happy with it so far, and think it is one of the better ones out there!
