My experience: I bought this last summer during our drought in California when I found out that a local campground had banned all fires except for propane fire pits. I did some research and found out that the Camco Big Red Campfire is RV campground approved and is allowed at every campground (I'm not 100% on this but I've never had any campground not allow me to use it). It is very easy to transport and surprisingly puts out a lot of heat. It may not be ideal for a large group but works perfect for my family of four. I have made it so that I can hook directly to my onboard trailer LPG which makes it much more convenient than firewood. There is no clean up, no ash or debris left by firewood. I bought it on Amazon for about $150 and it goes on every trip with us now. I've been approached by a lot people camping asking about our Big Red Campfire and I do recommend it to them for the above listed reasons.
