I decided to replace my worn out cover for my Lance truck camper.  This time, I wanted to get a quality cover using the Sunbrella fabric.  After researching where to buy, I decided to get one from Calmark, a company located in California.

I was very pleased with their customer service and the quality of the cover I received.  I posted more about it here:

I assume you can’t walk on your roof?

I saw a cool video where a guy, while using a step ladder, places his rolled up cover on the top front.  By pulling a wound up rope, he unrolls the cover front to back.  Then pulls the sides down.  It worked really well for him.

For my TCer, I tie a rope around the back of my cover with it folded about 3’ wide.  I get on the roof front & pull the cover up, then simply pull it to the back; then drop the sides down

I have had a Calmark cover for my 1575 TT about 7 years.  Good quality, its holding up well and we get a lot of wind, rain & fair amount of snow where we are.  There are a few thin spots where it rubs on corners, Calmark sends you extra material that you can glue on to reinforce these spots.  As far as getting in on the TT, I use 2 ladders, heft it on to the side of the roof and then unroll, and unfold.  I do not get on the roof.  You can use the nylon webbing straps that are attached to the cover (for tie down) to help you pull it over the top to the other side.  Just be careful about getting it over anything on your roof - ac unit, antennae, etc.  Calmark is more expensive than others, but at 7 years and counting I say its worth it if you want a durable cover.

I have bought a cover for them also. Unfortunately the cover is so heavy I can't figure out how to get it on my trailer (1475) Any good ideas?

I fantasize of a fleet of drones to lift and position my Calmark.  Instead, I put mine on similarly to Les1.  We lay it out in front of the camper, and from up top, I drag it up and roll it out.

Installing the cover is enough of a chore, that I do not use it as often as I had planned.  I was planning to cover my rig whenever its off, but I only seem to muster the motivation when I know it will be a while between trips.

Watch out for the rain gutter spouts, I usually knock one off everytime.

IMHO, the Calmark covers are the best you can buy.  I use mine to cover my camper during the winter months.

Before I got the excellent Calmark cover, I used a cheap lightweight cover.  It has several holes and tears in it.  I can carry it in one arm.  If it’s going to be a month or during the warm months, I sometimes still throw it on to keep the sun off the decals, etc.
