Lippert bought out the Attwood jack line and are no longer supporting them.  Consequently, they will no longer be available!

I called a Lippert rep and he stated they still have a few Attwood jacks in stock, but they are only using them for warranty purposes.  I then called Mike Williams with Lance and he also stated that the few they have are primarily for warranty issues.  So, Attwood Jacks, if not already, will no longer available.

This is remarkable considering there are thousands of campers in use with the Attwood jacks on them.  Lippert's replacement Happijac jacks will not work on Lance truck campers older than 2019/2020.  This is according to both Lippert and Lance.

So, what are the options for a person with a Lance Camper who needs a new jack?  Fortunately, the jacks made by RIECO TITAN will work!  These jacks, like the Attwood jacks, are very reliable and have been used on Host, Chalet, Arctic Fox, Travel Lite, and other campers for years.  They have the same bolt pattern as the Attwood brackets, so they will bolt on Lance campers with little or no modifications.  Therefore, there is no need to change brackets, which is required for a Happijac jack.  In addition, these RT jacks can be operated with your existing Attwood controllers and remotes.  The salvation for older Lance camper owners is that the RT jacks provide the option of replacing only one or two jacks if necessary, rather than replacing the entire system.  Due to the slight difference in jack speed, a person may prefer to replace two jacks, i.e. both on the front or rear.  Their site:  https://www.riecotitan.com/

Buying Options for Control Boards and Remotes:

1.  LANCE PARTS.  Certainly, a person should check with Lance to see if they have the Control Board or remote compatible with your camper.   https://www.lancecamper.com/

2.  Non-Slide Campers:

GAMMA ELECTRONICS.  If you have an older Lance Camper and need a remote and/or control board, you might find what you need at Gamma Electronics.  They previously supplied Lance control boards and remotes for older campers without a slide.  Their systems operate 4 functions, consequently, they won’t operate a slide in addition to 4 jacks.  https://www.gamainc.com/contact-us/

Campers with Slides

3.  AMERICAN TECHNOLOGY COMPONENTS.  ATC offers control boards and remotes that will operate up to 6 functions.  https://www.atcomp.com/contact-us/

I recently replaced my four Atwood Jacks on my Lance 855s with four RT jacks.  This was an easy MOD, as the new jacks, bolted right up to the existing Attwood brackets.  (I have four Attwood jacks sitting in my garage).  I chose not to install the new RT control system.  It consists of a 6- function board, plus two remotes.  I also got a rocker switch, so I can operate the slide independent of the remote.  For now, I am using the older Attwood board and remote to operate the RT jacks and slide.  I do plan on changing to the Rieco-Titan system and will submit that report later.

After researching this subject, I wanted to share this info with LOA members.

Thanks Les. From what I have seen in photos on other LOA topics, the RT boards and remotes did not appear to have the extra control for operating a slide.  I would think RT has thought of this, but so far I have not seen it.

I am hoping my Atwoods work for a while yet, like 10 years.

Hi Kevin,

The RT does offer controllers with more channels than the one I installed.  My camper does not have a slide, so the controller I purchased was only a 4-channel.  The 6-channel unit I looked at was slightly larger.
