Re: Northern CA LOA rally - 1/17/14 to 1/19/14 (1/20 for some)

Red Barchetta ·
Hi Allen/Allenc, Welcome to LOA and glad to hear that you are going to join us! This rally will be a great place for you to gain some good knowledge about your new 2285. Let me know how many nights you will be staying. For now I will put down 2 nights until you confirm. This thread that you have posted in is the calendar thread which is fine, but it also is sort of a goofy thread that doesn't show up in "Recent" posts or discussions on the main LOA forum page so posts can get lost or missed...

Gear and Giles, here are is the link to the rally discussion with instructions. You will need to call the KOA to reserve a site. When you get a site, reply to the discussion thread with your site number and your arrival/departure dates. Traeger Portable Tabletop Grill (TPT+Grill)

Advnturer ·
In an earlier post, I included the Traeger Camp Grill in a list of what to pack when headed out. I received an inquiry about it and thought it might be a good product to add to the Product Reviews page. Product: Traeger Portable Tabletop Grill (TPG+Grill) http://www.traegergrills.com/s...es/ptg/TFT17LLA.html I have used this grill exclusively since I bought my first Traeger at Costco last spring. This is a Pellet Grill that will do everything asked of it. I loved my full size so much, I...

Re: Informal Lance Get Together at Woods Canyon Lake AZ "Aspen Campground" - June 2018

Rob Monsipapa ·
We are going unless the forest gets shut down, at this point it doesn’t look likely but if there is another big fire in the area between now and then it could change. Everyone that’s going, please keep an eye on this page. I’ll post an update just before we head up on Wednesday afternoon or if anything changes that could impact this trip. I’ll post my phone here so if you want to call before you head out that’s cool with me. We will be keeping tabs on the Forest Service for all updates. Rob...

Find me Spot (Spot Gen 3)

Woodglue turned me on to this device. https://www.amazon.com/Spot-Satellite-SPOT-Gen3-Messenger/dp/B00C8S8S4W/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 I bought one and paid for the annual monitoring ($150) and so far love it. I used it on my trip out to Chino Valley AZ and then to the mountains of Santa Fe. Both had no cell service. It basically receives AND transmits via satellite so you don't have to have cell reception to get rudimentary communications out. There are 5 buttons on the thing you...

Dean & Judy We are not are on road today. Will look into this when we get home. In your email you sent you sound like you have spoken with us. We don't believe we've given you any previous information. I don't know if there's something wrong with the website. But there is a clear category for present rallies. I believe it's under the forums section. There is a complete itinerary of everything there. You can go directly to our web page / blog at www.midwesttruckcampers.WordPress.com Like...

It's working fine Doug B. No issues. In the meantime, here's how to find the site for those seeking info: (1) Up above on this page you will see "HOME" "FORUMS" "SEARCH" etc. Mouse over the box FORUMS. Left click once. (2) When the page opens again, go SEVEN Topics down is "PRESENT RALLIES". Left click once. (3) When the page opens, go FIVE Topics down and you will see: 2014 Midwest Truck Camper RallyJuly 23-27th

OK. I found it. But what would tell me from the message found posted by countrycampers3 in the Calendar section under July 23 any way to go (1) Up above on this page you will see "HOME" "FORUMS" "SEARCH" etc. Mouse over the box FORUMS. Left click once. (2) When the page opens again, go SEVEN Topics down is "PRESENT RALLIES". Left click once. Sounds like a lot of Mousing and reading on a Small screen.. Thanks for the help Doug.

Log on to this web site listed below to find your state listed at the bottom of the page. It will list suppliers of non-ethanol fuel. Sometimes suppliers quit handling non-ethanol so call ahead. http://pure-gas.org/

Re: Smarter Tools 2000iQ Generator

WoodGlue ·
The Smarter Tools 2000IQ doesn't have a vent or a cap vent at all. The way I "unflooded" my unit was to: 1) Let it sit for a few hours (if you aren't in a hurry to use it) or 2) Turn the fuel source to "off" , also set the generator to "off" (as in on/off) and just pull the string about 10 times. then, wait a minute or two, turn the fuel switch to on and then turn the generator to "on" and pull the choke out about 1/2 way and give it a big, honking pull. Also, make sure you have the "eco"...

Hi All, What a great bunch of folks here! When it is daylight today, I will try the suggestions. Yes, I am hoping it is a simple stupid mistake on my part...too much gas! If you've read other posts in this community, you know I will be back to tell you my results. The gas can...actually, I saw that recommendation here on this or another thread. Right before the Bp station my husband and I went to Pep Boys to look for that brand, but no luck, so we had to use one of our old leaky, drippy gas...
