Re: Princess Craft Truck Camper Rally, April 6-9, 2017
Bad news came in the form of a jury summons today. U.S. District Court on March 22. It says I need to be available for 30 days so I am changing my status to a Maybe. I have never been selected for a jury but there is always a first time. This really goofs up our plans for our annual April Hill Country getaway. Maybe I'll get lucky.

Most courts will allow you to reschedule your time, as long as you aren't trying to get out of service.

Re: king VQ4500 Tailgater for Dish Network with Wally Recevier
I use the tailgator and have been in some heavy rain without any issues, the only time I haven't gotten a signal is when my site was heavily wooded and once when there was a hill in the way but even with the hill it picked up one of the two satellites.

Re: Informal Lance Get Together at Woods Canyon Lake AZ "Aspen Campground" - June 2018
FYI there is a significant gain in elevation 2610 ft. between Payson at 4890 ft. and Aspen Camp at 7500 ft. You will know that as you chug up that last hill to reach the top of the rim. It will be a lot cooler than Yuma Sgt.

Re: Folding Bikes
We have 2 rather unique VeloMini electric folding bikes. They have 3 speeds and can be peddled like a normal bike, or you can push a button to turn on the small motor and engage something called peddle assist which adds power to your peddling (especially nice when going up a steep hill), or you can simply then stop peddling and twist the right hand grip to engage the motor and just doodle along. The bikes will go ~12 miles in that manner at a top speed of 12 mph. They are a kick to ride, and...

Re: Big E's List Of Recommended Camping Stuff
Great list Erick...I only have room for one pack of lynxs....want to get some caps....I have not cracked any but I have damaged some using them on large stoned site in State forest that had my camper tilted hard on a side hill...but I have had them since my first 5er and they have served me well....going to get another set to replace the damaged ones, and then carry some extras with the caps if I can get them shoved in somewhere.....

Re: Trinova Plastic and Trim Restorer (...as well as trailer frames!)
Hmmm, wonder how this would work on my black plastic jeep fenders. My fenders are somewhat sun oxidized, and I use Mothers Back to Black. Mothers works for a few weeks, then the fenders gradually start to fade again.

Re: Trinova Plastic and Trim Restorer (...as well as trailer frames!)
Interesting. I may just have to give this a try as my frame paint is also looking old and tired, especially the back bumper which is starting to show signs of rust. Planning on selling the trailer soon and a product like this might just be enough to avoid having to repaint some of those areas. Thanks for posting.

Randy, I have been dressing up my old trailer as well, I put it for sale yesterday since I’ll be getting my new 1995 in a few weeks. Much, much better with the frame and the back bumper deep black!!!..

Re: WeBoost (Wilson Electronics) Drive 4GM Cell Signal Booster
I have the old Speedboost by Wilson. For portability, we mounted it to a little plank and carry it and the magnetic antenna in a little leather bag. Sometimes when traveling we put the bag in the truck to make calls while driving. At night, we move it all to the camper. Once we checked into a State Park in Arkansas and were told there was no phone service because we were in a valley on the lake. We'd have to drive out of the park 1/4 mile to the top of a hill to use our phones. We moved the...

Re: 1st Annual Great Plains Gathering
Jackalope, Please accept my apology for not seeing your post earlier. I have watched the 1st Annual Great Plains Gathering thread daily, but have forgotten to watch this one. Most of the activity is on that thread. Anyway, I am glad you were able to snag that spot, and I'm looking forward to seeing you there. You may want to read what is on that thread if you have the time. It is quite lengthy. Here is a recap of the events and instructions. It's fairly loosely organized. Thursday Sept. 21:...
