Re: Clam Six Pack 1660 Mag Screen Tent (or the Worlds easiest/fastest screen room)

Terry Gfeller ·
We have a safety incentive program at work and for every month we work without injury (or killing a foreman) we get a prize. The prize gets bigger with every consecutive month that goes by without injury. Late last fall the company gave everyone one of those clam screen tents. It seemed very well made but fairly bulky and going into winter did not hit the top of the best gift ever list at work. We joked that with enough duct tape you could convert it to an icefishing tent. A few people were...

Re: Coleman Roadtrip LXE Portable Propane Grill

BobH ·
I use the 1 lb propane tanks which allows me to put the grill wherever I like. I believe you can convert the grill to use the low pressure outlet on your trailer. I recall seeing posts with detailed instructions to do this.

Re: Nature's Head Composting Toilet

LJJ ·
I saw them all a while back. I showed them to my DW last night. We are leaning toward Natures Head. It appears to have more what we are looking for. The big issue for me is can it easily convert to allow the liquids to dump into an on board tank. I'll probably end up calling when I get a chance. A few of the youtube videos we watched last night showed toilets that I wouldn't want to use. One was absolutely were filthy, and so was the language of the hostess.

Winegard G2 Portable Satellite Dish

WoodGlue ·
It's all that and a bag of chips! It is compatible with Dish (in HiDef) DirecTV (Standard Def only) and Canada's Bell. Set up is a breeze, just hook up the RG6 cable to the little inlet on the side of the RV, and hook it in a 12v outlet, or do what I did and buy the 12v to 110 converter. Put the satellite dish somewhere you can get a clear view of the southern shy and you're good to go. Inside wiring is easy. If you want Dish Network HDMI, just hook the box into the TV using the extra HDMI...

Ring Video Doorbell and Alarm Systems

Peaceful Hikes NJ ·
Ring products are becoming more prevalent for home protection. While I use them, I am not a Ring spokesperson or rep, in any way. I buy what I use. I've have two security systems for my home, ADT (traditional) and Ring (video). But it is the Ring system that I am adapting to my Lance 1685, as I had some extra Ring products, because of upgrades. Right now, I have just the Ring Video Doorbell (Second Generation), which operates on battery and solar, on my trailer. The pros of such a system is...

Re: Solo Stove Bonfire

VigII ·
It's the King of Combustion (I should register that as a trademark!) and once at operating temperature there's little smoke. Think about this, smoke = particulates. I sit around soooo many camp fires I see complete combustion as a health benefit! I'm not really joking about that either. Ha! (i have three: 2 Bonfires and a Yukon for the yard!) This is why I converted our travel Bonfire to dual fuel. We were in AZ and NM this winter so I added a propane ring to the Bonfire. To convert to...

BBQ on sale at Costco through today, 7/4

MagnumK9 ·
For anyone who is looking for a small but powerful propane BBQ, Costco has the Nexgrill 2 burner BBQ on sale for just $99.99, delivered, through the end of the day today. It is similar to the Weber 1200/2200 but has two independently controlled burners. I have owned both of the Webers but now I use the Nexgrill as I feel it is a better BBQ. It's easy to convert to low pressure so one can easily connect to our external propane ports. Note: I am not a Costco employee nor do I receive any...

Re: Smash and Grab Product Review

Duckman ·
Yeah, I had my rear door window broken a couple of weeks ago. The stole my small backpack with hiking gear, my TPMS monitor and dash cam. They left the GPS because they were too stupid to figure out how to unplug it, they also left all the power cords. The stuff was mostly old and not worth much but getting the window replaced was a pain. On the Ram trucks they have in floor storage boxes, I already had a security lid on one of them. After the break in I added the center console safe and the...

Yep, there's probably not much difference between the Tuffy and the Lock 'er Down. As you said it's all about grabbing and not hanging around. Mike

Puck lights wired incorrectly and light not working

Riley A ·
My 2019 1995 Lance Travel trailer puck light are wired improperly, and the light is not working. During the manufacturing process the technician did not have enough wire to make the connections to the LED puck light or did not terminate the wire ends correctly, leaving the bare wire exposed to the foam. The foam insulation has some burning around the wire ends. It's difficult to see the burned area from the attached images but it's there. I'll need to cut out additional insulation in order...

Re: Puck lights wired incorrectly and light not working

RobertP ·
I'm a little confused. Your trailer is a 2019 and the light was just now found to be inoperative? Original owner? I ask because maybe some work was done in the ceiling or to another light and the wiring was pulled, causing the wire to come out of the connector (or loosened, overheated, and become disconnected). I'm not sure why there'd be burning, unless the exposed wire was the 12VDC hot wire and some way contacted ground or the 12VDC negative wire. Have any lighting fuses operated? I...

Re: A-ipower SC2300i from Costco

Chuck3006 ·
The new Honda EU 3200 has been tempting me. It does have fuel injection. Currently I have two Honda's; a 2200 and 2000. The 2000 is in the serial number range which will pair with the 2200 (early 2000's will not). While I sometimes bring the 2200 when camping my main use of them is to pair them and power the house in a power outage. For that reason I have both of them set up with Hutch Mountain tri-fuel conversions. They can run on gasoline, natural gas and propane. It takes less than a...

Re: OUTLAND PORTABLE FIRE BOWL

duke3k ·
So thanks everybody for all the discussion on the Outland Firebowl. We got one also several months ago. Well technically it was a present to the other half for Xmas - but you know how that goes. Anyway wanted to convert our set up to run off the low pressure trailer so did the same starting point which is to remove the existing hose and regulator. However I wanted ours to be able to connect to a low pressure extension hose instead of permanently attaching a conversion hose to the unit. So...
