DeeZee Red Label Fifth Wheel Utility Chest (DZ8560WB)

Red Barchetta ·
2 months ago yesterday we bought a new-to-us truck/TV - A 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab LTZ (V8, 5.3L, integrated brake controller, factory backup camera, integrated TPMS, remote start, ...), etc ... http://lanceowners.hoop.la/top...ed-to-a-new-to-us-tv I then bought a bed mat - http://lanceowners.hoop.la/top...9#550326589916257509 So last week I asked my fellow LOA'ers about 5th wheel boxes/chests. As it so happened JamesHB is the ONLY LOA'er who actually has one -...

Re: Trojan 30XHS 12-volt group 30 deep-cycle battery (130 AH)

Joe - You won't be sorry that you got this battery. I do have holes in the bottom of my box, but don't have time to post pictures. Also, I store my battery & box in the garage between trips so there's another reason why holes on the top aren't much of an issue for me. If I were you I would get the box that DD J has (& posted above) as it doesn't have holes in the lid & looks like it works with the B&D lock. Nice find DD J!

Thanks Terri! Great choice by you as well. I familiarized myself with all of their kayaks believe me. I watched all of this guys AE videos. He sold me on the Backbone purchase. https://www.youtube.com/user/dalesphotography/videos

Yeah, I've watched all his stuff too. Contacted him about kayaking in Florida. I didn't buy the backbone, but got the high pressure floor. I'm still relatively new at the whole thing but love taking my camera out in it.

Re: Micro-Air Easy Start--install and 2000 watt Generator

That's the main reason why I installed a MC 364 on our Coleman Mk15. I've successfully completed the five learning starts on house current via a 15 amp circuit and a 12/3 50' extension cord. Then it got cold again and I haven't yet tried the Honda EU2200i. I hope to have my hybrid inverter tied in and the solar panels expanded out to 650 watts from the current 370 watts. I fully expect it to work given @R&V Spiker 's and @Ty J 's experience with the Victron 30/3000/120 Multi I'm...

I have installed the MicroAire on my Coleman 15k. It would not start on the Honda 2000 without it. As to RobertMT's question I think the answer is yes. I think I've kind of looked at it from a whole system point of view as opposed to focusing on single components. If you decide where you want to end up and design a whole system that has adequate capacity you will likely be happy. If I made one mistake it was probably in the buying a TT with the Coleman 15k. But the local dealer had a trailer...

Inverters really want a Type T fuse. Lots of people have problems if they try using something less. I'm glad the change to to T fixed your problem.

You just illustrated why I recommend a Hybrid or Power Assist Inverter/Charger. And you are lucky to have a 20 amp garage circuit; a lot are only 15 amps. I always use the example of visiting a friend and plugging into his garage circuit. I turn it down to cap the input at 14 amps and let the inverter and solar do the rest.

You're right Terri about any spare that's mounted under the vehicle. Even with the spare close to the rear bumper it's still a bear to get out and put back. After posting on Trailer Talk and remembering getting my spare off my truck, I realized I should have posted in the Discussion section.

Terri, I'll be waiting for that thread as I am interested too.. I've been getting some flak from my sister (in Hawaii) and a couple cousins about not knowing where I'm at while traveling since there are no destinations and time limit during my travels.

Many of these devices will allow selected contacts to follow you on other devices. A bread crumb type of trail.

Just send them a Glympse, as long as you have cell coverage. Also have you tried the creeper yet?

Brian J, one question. I have worked out all the little lights in the trailer at night (microwave, green usb, TV, and Jensen). Does this face turn down or off? It seems really bright.
