Big E's List Of Recommended Camping Stuff

Big E ·
I thought I would make a list of stuff, products that have worked well for us. Some of the items are fan favorites, tried and true and widely used and accepted across the LOA spectrum of members. Others are little known, sleeper products if you will. Some have been passionately debated and others, not so much. Hope this list can be of use to somebody. To start things off simple, toilet paper. White Cloud Green Earth available at Wal Mart. Broke down more quickly than every other TP I tested,...

We have most of this stuff from previous camper. Don't forget, commercial TP is a no go, and TP should be purchased at RV centers, appropriate for RV toilets.

Re: Why you want the Honda EU2200i Companion

The receptacles are 20 amp. Page 12 of the manual.(or look at the plug-NEMA 20 amp ) No need for the companion unless you are paralleling 2 generators or like the twistlok 30 amp plug.

TST cap sensors battery replacement

Millerfamily04 ·
After the 4 months that the trailer was parked for winter, 2 of the TST tire pressure sensor caps did not register pressures. Thanks to the manual I had bought sensor batteries year ago. Sounded easy, unscrew little screws replace battery replace cap protector and they would sync themselves. How many of us carry a 00 Phillips head screwdriver? Ran to Tractor supply, got the protective caps removed, screws out battery replaced and the O rings (makes the internal sensor waterproof) completed...

That is a little disappointing that TST did not refer you to the LOA store. We are a preferred dealer of the TST products and we even have our own custom battery replacement kits that come with everything you need. We even sell them as a 4 pack or 5 pack if you have a monitored spare. We also use only Duracell batteries. Maybe next time you replace them. If you ever want to upgrade your sensors, we have those too. Either way... I am glad you got it handled. ...

Re: TireMinder Smart TPMS - Smartphone Based Tire Pressure Monitor for RVs

VigII ·
Our Minder repeater is mounted in the lower forward nose cone of our 2285. Just inside the driver side storage pass-through door there will be a square panel covering a generously sized hole where one can grab 12V power from the trailer's running lights. I used Velcro to mount it against the back of the nose material. For future-proof troubleshooting purposes I covered the access hole with clear desk/floor protector so I can easily see the green light confirming the repeater is on.

Re: waxing front of lance trailer

Any information on what to use on the acrylic windows? I have a 2075 and would like to know what is the best cleaner and protector. Will the McGuires Cleaner/Wax work on the windows like on the fiberglass skin?

No, the abrasives in a cleaner wax will probably result in a hazy window. You want to use a plastic polish on plastic; it has much finer abrasives. Something like this: https://www.griotsgarage.com/plastic-all-in-one/
