We have most of this stuff from previous camper. Don't forget, commercial TP is a no go, and TP should be purchased at RV centers, appropriate for RV toilets.

Oh! Did not read enough about the TP, seems appropriate .

We have a Camp Chef unit from Big 5 Sporting Goods. I didn't like the lava rock it came with so I bought some ceramic logs from Amazon, it folds up and comes with a heavy nylon zippered bag. Click Here

Re: Camp Chef Yukon Double Burner Stove

Very good stove. It should last you for many years. We had the similar model stove for years. DH used it for many years for family and BSA outings before finally donating it to son’s college team. We then downgraded to the Camp Chef Everest 2 burner stove. 20,000btu’s per burner. If don’t already have one, I recommend you get the carry bag, so much easier to store. Enjoy

I have the Camp Chef Everest 2 as well and love it. The only issue or complaint I have with the stove is the spark igniter is very difficult to engage.

If you bought it at REI take it back. Or call or email Camp Chef and get a replacement igniter. We bought our carry bag at Bass Pro Shop, also saw them at Sportsman’s Warehouse.

I communicated with Camp Chef on the igniter and the rotary igniter is out of stock for two months. They offered to send me a stove bag and utensils for the inconvenience. Total value of items around $45!

We got a Camp Chef Ranger II Blind Stove . It's fantastic. Except that if it gets in any way wet, it starts to rust. We contacted Camp Chef, who blew us off about it. So, we used a scrubber to get rid of the rust and some high temperature spray paint. So far, so good. But beware...

Over the years we have acquired the 2 burner model as well as the 3 burner set up. The camp chef grills are heavy. The associated cast iron fry grills are very heavy. I have never taken either out camping unless it was with a large group. For just the two of us they are way oversized. When we have cooked for large groups we were able to keep both units running full out and would cook enough, fast enough to feed an army. Pancakes on one, eggs and bacon on the other.

Your Yukon looks great - but kinda large! If you can make room to store and transport it then I’m sure it’s a good unit. Another Everest user here. Excellent stove and I really like being able to cook everything outdoors during the summer. The storage bag is super practical for dealing with transporting the stove.

Re: FlameKing 1 LB Refillable Kit

satek60 ·
Here's a home built filler for the flame kings. Cost me 12 bucks for the fitting I did not have. Beats dicking around freezing cylinders and weighing them. The cylinders are about $11.00 is you look around. My camp chef everest runs off higher pressure.

Camp Chef Everest 2X Stove.

Texmark ·
If any of you are searching for a new camp stove, I highly recommend this one! I’ve been searching for a new stove for awhile, and thought I was going to have to compromise and get one that had some design flaws. I was leaning toward the Camp Chef Everest, but it some some knocks on it, with the biggest being cheap/flimsy plastic latches. I knew I wanted one with 20,000 BTU burners and could handle large frying pans, and the Camp Chef and a Stansport model were the only ones I could find...

If my Camp Chef Summit bites the dust, I'll take a look at the Everest 2X. I love the 20,000 BTU burners on these Camp Chef stoves.

YETI Trailhead Collapsible Camp Chair

BrianJ ·
Generally I consider products from YETI to be considerably overpriced with questionable value added. However, I am weary from purchasing new camping chairs every other year that just don’t hold up to our use and abuse! I believe I have purchased my last camp chairs with the YETI Trailhead. Certainly don’t fold up as compact and it weighs in at just under 15 lbs but the comfort and build quality are amazing and for us merit the space and weight. The carrying case is equal of quality and I am...

Re: Outland Firebowl

Mtn Mike ·
Do these run off the propane quick connect on the side of the trailer or do they need higher flow than the house system provides? I see they're rated at 59000 BTU which is close to my Camp Chef, but I don't see a specification for the pressure they require.

They can run off the quick connect but only if you remove the regulator. I swapped out the hose and regulator on mine with an 18’ hose from Amazon... -TC

Re: FlameKing 1 LB Refillable Kit

@RobertMT, you certainly can use the adapter hose as described. For a Mr Buddy Heater, it's not as easy as you might think or such a good idea. We used our buddy heater extensively during our past winter trip. We have a Truma, of course, for our 1575's furnace. We used the buddy heater for: When getting out of the shower. It nice to have something to warm up to when your thermostat is set at 65° F. To warm our coach up faster on a cold morning. To warm up frozen hands. We had temps as low as...

The single use one pound cylinders of propane are really convenient to use, but very costly at just under about $5 each at Walmart. Buying propane in bulk to refill my TC tanks is much, much cheaper, and convinced me to invest in the refillable one pound Flame King cylinders. The Big Buddy heater sips propane compared to the RV furnace. In cold weather camping months where the ambient temperatures are constantly below the low 30°s, I usually use a Big Buddy heater to supplement the furnace...

OUTLAND PORTABLE FIRE BOWL

Ray & Donna ·
We recently purchased an Outland Premium Fire Bowl from Costco and rather than connecting it directly to a propane bottle, I bought the pictured hose from Amazon for $17.99 and it works perfectly with no leaks. Since the propane bottles on the trailer that feed the Lance provided propane quick connect outlet have safety regulators, you do not need the regulator on the hose provided with the Outland Fire Bowl. It is an easy conversion with the new hose that has a 1/4" male quick connect on...
