Re: Trojan 30XHS 12-volt group 30 deep-cycle battery (130 AH)

We use the factory solar controller and/or the factory PD-4050 controller for normal charging, and a Vector 1089A digital battery charger for equalization. Peak voltage in that mode is 16.2, temperature compensated.

Brian, when you equalize, do you disconnect the battery and Vector charger from the trailer electrical system to prevent the loads and charge controller from seeing 16.2 volts?

Micro-Air EasyTouch Rv Comfort Control

BrianJ ·
We’re staying at Boyd’s in Key West and found ourselves in the middle of a Airstream rally. Micro-Air was the primary vender and was pretty busy installing the EasyStart on the Shiny Trailers. Since we already have the EasyStart and I am a sucker for a “Rally Discount” I purchased a EasyTouch BT thermostat for our Lance. Yes, I know, a fool and his money are soon departed. Re: Why you want the Honda EU2200i Companion

R&V Spiker ·
Keep in mind that 2200 watts is peak rated power. The 2200i runs at 1800 watts continuous. 1800 watts = 15 amps.

Waymark, Ian ·
Hi Ted, We have travelled numerous times on both ferries. Travelling in peak season means peak pricers. The MV Coho has fixed prices on all sailings but some BC ferries have breaks on fares if you don't mind very early travelling. You need to goto the BC ferry website to see if any Fare Savers apply when you will be sailing. Reservations are a must for all ferries during peak season. Whenever we use the ferries we make sure it is worth the expense by staying a couple of weeks at our...

New Camping “Essential”: Bluetti AC180 Power Station

Crewzer ·
Our new Bluetti AC180 arrived yesterday. We plan to use it to power our TC’s microwave, slow cooker, portable fridge, and/or a backup electrical power source depending on needs or conditions while boondocking, and we can use it to fully recharge one of our eBikes (or both bikes to >65%). It may also come in handy as a primary or secondary power source if I need to start using a CPAP machine. 😤. It should also be useful as a backup power source at home during a utility power outage. I’d...
