Had a nice, relaxing trip up to Collins Lake this weekend. The lake level was down and the weather was cool but the DW limited out on trout (as usual)! Met up with Loanshark and friends (really nice folks). Compared notes on our Lance trailers and overall had a very relaxing weekend. Truly wish we could make it to the Northern CA LAO rally in January but, due to prior commitments, we won't be able to. Did see one other Lance TC at Collins and a couple on the road on the way home.

We're going to be in Santa Clara the weekend before this rally and are trying to decide if we can spend another week on the road before heading back home to Washington. It sure sounds like fun!

FYI: I met with Ron today. Their new to them 2011 1985 is in great shape. We went over some basics operational items. A lot of the questions brought back memories of when I was a new owner. I have offered to go camping with them (aka: a really small LOA gathering). :-) And......of course I showed him where the low point drains were located....as that was one of my first questions when joining the forum. LOL We had a great time and look forward to meeting up with Ron in the near future.

Yeah, I mistakenly said site #116. The correct site is #114! Just a slip of my index finger on the keyboard. I'll arrive on Wednesday, the 6th, and depart on Sunday, the 10th. I'll probably move down to Canyon Point and check in there for a couple of days or more. I won't be in a big hurry to get back to the heat!!

I live in Payson AZ . Just drove my Jeep up to woods canyon and willow lake and drove the 300 rim road yesterday. Everything is pretty dry . Here’s what’s happening locally http://www.paysonroundup.com/n...2b-5a7c6a793fe5.html Woods canyon and willow lakes area remains open. Enforcement is strict on fire restrictions.

Thanks to Galvanizd for posting this. We have found that during fire restriction times we were still able to use our portable fire pit with lava rock and propane. Not sure if that will be allowed given the extreme dry conditions right now. Hope for rain before June 6-12 rolls around. Really looking forward to meeting everyone! We would like to plan a nightly happy hour at 5:30pm, at out site 117. This gives everyone time to eat then come relax for an hour or two with their favorite beverage.

We are going unless the forest gets shut down, at this point it doesn’t look likely but if there is another big fire in the area between now and then it could change. Everyone that’s going, please keep an eye on this page. I’ll post an update just before we head up on Wednesday afternoon or if anything changes that could impact this trip. As a new members the wife and decided to join all of you, but unfortunately we found out about this rally a couple of days ago and we me our reservation as soon as we could. There are no lot available in the area were all the activities are to take place. We still went ahead and booked lot #258 in the F loop which I believe put us not to far from the action. We will be arriving Friday and leaving Sunday or Monday , have not decided yet for the extra day. BTW I started Dutch Oven cooking and...

I have two questions, 1) my Lance is an 1881, about 23' and truck at 19' , what sites will this set up fit into; and 2) I put the rally in the "cart" but at the check out point I couldn't select a site, how do I select a site. Thanks. Steve

I just read a post from someone that mentioned that the factory had some full hookups. We do have a little dog that goes with us when ever we go on road trips. At the KAO we are dry camping I will imagine it will be hot. Will they allow us to use the hook ups at the factory if we leave the campground and park it at the factory during the tour?

Greetings! We left home yesterday and arrived here at Patrick's Point SP IN Trinidad CA for one night. It rained a little bit overnight, so unfortunately that put a slight damper on our hike this morning. In a couple of ours we're set to leave for Sunset Bay SP near Coos Bay. Be Vewry vewry quiet, I'm hunting tigers! Seriously, at night if you hear lions and Tigers roar, it's because Tippi Hedren's Shambala Preserve is right down the road. She has a ton on Lions, Tigers and Ligers plus other animals.

Such a great time! Everyone, and I truly mean everyone, was as fabulous as you would expect. I'll post all of my thoughts on that in the appropriate after-party thread when it shows itself. However, I need to discuss trains, raccoons, coyotes, & lions. Yep, you read that right - raccoons. So after 2 nights in a tent I actually got used to the continuous sounds of trains, coyotes, & lions, but this morning at 5:10 when I crawled out of my tent to start loading my car for the drive...

Well folks, we're officially less than 30 days to our rally. We have 34 campers signed up for the rally! And maybe a few who made their own ressies. I've been thinking about a notional (and informal) agenda. Suggestions or comments/thoughts are welcome...nothing is carved in stone at this point. Hi Dave & Jerri, RITV stands for Rally in the Valley. It a rally at White Tank Mountain reginial park near Surprise, AZ. There is a thread in the Rally section of the forum. The Quartzsite get to gether was started last year for those on their way to the RITV. Just a few extra day of Lance owners camping with other Lance owners. Quartzsite is a mecca for Snowbirds in the Winter. It's going on the same time as the RITV. It a giant Swap Meet and RV show. And yes it's fairly safe, because...

if I may try to help people attend the rally, be advised that the loop is full, and there is no longer a waiting list being held by the organizer. From this point on, it is up to individuals to act quickly if and when a site comes available because of a cancellation. Fortunately, there is a feature on ReserveAmerica where they will notify by email, all who request to be so advised if there is a cancellation. ReserveAmerica will email simultaneously, all who have asked for this to happen.

Not much on the schedule for ECR 7 ( as of now) Nightly campfires, meet & greets and daily relaxing. There is no pot luck dinner or raffle scheduled. Again, as of now. Gonna be a “ laid back” relaxing time with a bunch of Lancers. I’ll have more and a roster later this month. I’ll be getting a list from Sandy @ Whiteoak campground later this week of who and what campsite they are on. Starting last year ( ECR6) we reserved a spot solely for campfires which have always been a focal point...
