B-D RV Battery Lock (12-volt)

Red Barchetta ·
B-D RV Battery Lock: http://www.b-drvbatterylock.com/   Even though I/we have never ever had an issue with a battery "walking away" in the 15+ years that we have been trailer camping I have been intrigued whenever I would see this simple battery...

TST TPMS New and Improved Wide Screen Color Monitor

R&V Spiker ·
I just received my TST Wide Screen color monitor yesterday and got it up and running on the bench. Wow! The display is real nice with larger digits and added color. However, I do have a few issues I'd like to report. The new monitor is now powered by a 5 volt mini plug just like what one uses for their smart phone (Android, not Apple). This presents a challenge as I had the previous 12 volt monochrome monitor's power cord hard wired into the overhead console in my Tundra which was a nice...

Great Anti Corrosion and Lube Product

Doug P ·
Oops, I had originally posted this in the wrong Forum area... A fellow Lance member pointed me to the correct Forum..... I wanted to share this product with fellow Lance owners. About 20 years ago I came across this product at a bike show for lubricating parts on a racing bike. I have used this product ever since to lubricate and protect about anything that is made out of bare metal. This product was developed for Boeing aircraft to lubricate and protect metal hinges and other items on an...

Re: Garmin nuvi 2797LMT

Mike, good review. Another nice feature of the newer Garmins is the improved satellite reception. I prefer to mount my GPS on the console between the two front seats, instead of the dash or windshield. The newer Garmins work well when located away from the windshield. With my old Garmin mounted on the console, I had to use an external antenna mounted on the dash, in order to receive the satellite signals.

Re: B-D RV Battery Lock (12-volt)

Simon & B ·
Great job, Jeff. I have a little story about the B-D battery lock. We ordered one and I (Simon) took it to the trailer to 'eye it up'. Then I got distracted and moved the trailer somewhere else, and, you guessed it, the darn B-D lock fell off where I was 'eyeing it up', never to be seen again. I called B-D and pulled the pity trick and they gave me 10% off a new set. As it happens, I put on a replacement battery box cover this weekend, and replaced the OEM battery box strap with the B-D...

Re: Honda EU2000i Generator Review

Bruce R. ·
I recently sold another type of small motor Honda that has been beat on, neglected, and abused in harsh environments for over 30 years! (Only about 10 years by me) I think I changed the oil 3 or 4 times in that 10 years. Bike didn't cost me much, and I just wanted to ride. Found out when I was selling it that I had cracked the frame (1985 Suspension technology ain't what it is today) but that motor simply will... not... die. Yeah, I think you'll get your money's worth out of your Honda.

Looks like a great solution! Does anyone know if using a ladder rack would void any Lance warranties? H

Shouldn't. 200 lb plus folks are climbing those ladders all the time. 60 lbs of well-secured bike shouldn't effect anything--warranty or otherwise. By the way a number of us have that same Swagman. When loaded, It does slightly effect your tongue weight. And, depending on where you go, the bikes can get dirty riding back there. I'd like to find some kind of cover for the bikes that will keep them dry in the rain, and won't damage the paint as it flaps in the wind.

Re: Swagman RV Ladder Bike Rack

Galt's Gulch ·
Been using this same rack for 3 years on our 2285. No issues. Do add a strap around the bikes and the upper ladder rung for extra support. Also did do two mods to make it more secure. One, a plywood face plate that slides onto the step behind the rack and provides a large contact area for the two foam bumpers instead of the bumpers sitting on the knife edge of the step. Two, straps that hold the rack tight to the ladder. Nylon webbings and two buckles from Home Depot.

Torklift Lower StableLoads on a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 towing a Lance 1575

Red Barchetta ·
We recently switched TV's. We went from a more than adequate 2000 Lincoln Navigator with a self-leveling rear-end (air bags) which towed our 1575 easily straight and true to a more than adequate new-to-us 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab LTZ (V8, 5.3L, factory tow package, integrated brake controller, ...). *Here is the thread on our TV switch - http://lanceowners.hoop.la/top...ed-to-a-new-to-us-tv While the truck is much more than adequate to handle our small, skinny, & light 1575...
