Re: Clam Six Pack 1660 Mag Screen Tent (or the Worlds easiest/fastest screen room)

kallish ·
We have one (and love it) and my brother-in-law who has a truck camper has one. He puts his in a case (might be meant for skis) and straps it to his ladder for transport. Fortunately we can throw ours in the back of the truck. For anybody with doubts, We highly recommend the Clam!

Re: Folding Bikes

nosurfjack ·
My husband and I have the Expressway folding bike made by Giant. We both find them to be really fun and comfortable to ride. I love how much more stable and maneuverable they are than a full size bike. They have 20" wheels so they're not as small as some of the other folding bikes. We don't usually fold them in half to transport them, just fold down the handle bars and pedals. Like that, they fit in the back of my Honda Element when we're at home. On the road, we put them in the back of our...

Re: Folding Bikes

Rob&Mary ·
We have 2 rather unique VeloMini electric folding bikes. They have 3 speeds and can be peddled like a normal bike, or you can push a button to turn on the small motor and engage something called peddle assist which adds power to your peddling (especially nice when going up a steep hill), or you can simply then stop peddling and twist the right hand grip to engage the motor and just doodle along. The bikes will go ~12 miles in that manner at a top speed of 12 mph. They are a kick to ride, and...

I bought a folding ebike that isn't "officially" released in the US. It's a Xiaomi QiCycle, and is $800 on Amazon. I've only test ridden it, but so far so good. I'll be using it a lot over the next five days. No throttle-only, but good pedal assist, and three speed internal hub gearing. Battery is in the tube, and has built in front and rear lights.

Re: Chemical Guys - TORQ Foam Cannon & Honeydew Snow Foam Wash

HavaBrew22 ·
I use another Chemical Guys product to assist in drying. It's called Chemical Guys After Wash . "Chemical Guys After Wash is an advanced moisturizer that aids the drying process. The innovative drying aid repels water, adds lubrication, and creates a streak-free shine when drying any vehicle." This stuff is great. I spray it on an entire side and the water beads off. It also lubricates the outside of the trailer so that you will not scratch it when using towels to dry. I only use microfiber...

Re: Micro-Air Easy Start--install and 2000 watt Generator

Installed my ez start on my camper. Was not so ez ------ to install. But glad I did. Couldnt get cover off my a/c bolt stripped in. It was a good investment. Works just fine. I draw around 1250 watts (Depending on the tempature outside) in the 90's running it and it ramps up and never spikes . Here are some pictures if lance would not of stripped the bolt in sideways probably had done in couple hours not a couple of days! Had to find bolt instert to put in the whole that was stripped. You just illustrated why I recommend a Hybrid or Power Assist Inverter/Charger. And you are lucky to have a 20 amp garage circuit; a lot are only 15 amps. I always use the example of visiting a friend and plugging into his garage circuit. I turn it down to cap the input at 14 amps and let the inverter and solar do the rest.

Re: Camp Chef Yukon Double Burner Stove

Mountain Mitch ·
Your Yukon looks great - but kinda large! If you can make room to store and transport it then I’m sure it’s a good unit. Another Everest user here. Excellent stove and I really like being able to cook everything outdoors during the summer. The storage bag is super practical for dealing with transporting the stove.

I wondered if they really worked. Biggest problem with wood these days is that you’re not supposed to transport it and campground bundles are very expensive.

Re: Solo Stove Bonfire

Oh, they work and work very well! You'll have flames until the entire load is nothing but coals. Those last few logs will not sit there smoldering. The Bonfire isn't cheap but if you're handy one could fabricate something close. Those problems with wood are real, mainly due to exotic insects. I used the price and transporting wood criteria in my decision to buy the Bonfire, plus using it in my own fire pit at home (I'll soon be a FreeLOAder participant). If I must buy firewood to enjoy part...

Re: FlameKing 1 LB Refillable Kit

I have been using the flameking refillables for some time, at home (propane torch) and on the road. I used to refill the greenies, but noticed a few got an hourglass figure. You don't need the stand. I just set the big tank on the edge of a picnic table with the lil guy hanging over the edge. They're less of a pita and more piece of mind with the flameking system. It's illegal to transport a disposable cylinder. I guess I'm a little more carefull after surviving my stupid shit days.

It is illegal to transport a REFILLED disposable cylinder, not a new store bought one. Who is gonna check? and how would your average johnny law know. https://www.rvtravel.com/why-y...e-propane-cylinders/

The receptacles are 20 amp. Page 12 of the manual.(or look at the plug-NEMA 20 amp ) No need for the companion unless you are paralleling 2 generators or like the twistlok 30 amp plug.

Re: Blackstone 17" review and question

The storage bag in my opinion is a must. With the griddle cleaned and oiled as mentioned turn the griddle surface upside down. However I do not carry in my TT. I transport mine in my truck. I don't want to add the extra weight to my storage area of the TT. Just my opinion.

Step Assist

Scot L ·
For those of you who might be vertically challenged (like me) or old (like me), you might want to check this item out to ease the challenge of getting into and out of the bed of your pickup. It's called a step assist. I purchased the TrekStep from Bestop. As you can see from the pictures, it fits pretty snug to the bottom of the bumper, drops down with a bump from your foot and retracts with said bump from foot. It lines up outside of the outer edge of the tailgate, so you can step up onto...

Airlift 1000 HD Install and Review

JonathanC ·
I know there has been some mixed opinions about Airlift 1000 HD air bags on this forum. A little background. I have a 2018 Ram 1500 4x4 Big Horn. Rams ride darn near like a car however, I believe one reason for that is Rams have coil springs on the rear vs. leaf springs. So with that comfort comes a little trade off of “firmness” when towing. I have a e2 Equalizer trunion WDH professionally installed and while towing my 2015 2295 I still felt the rear suspension was a little soft and had...

Re: Blackstone 17" review and question

I tried using it au natural thinking I could find some way to carry it around. I never could. The bag and cover simply eliminate the transport issues. I made my wind screens out of some sheet metal I had on hand. They are a set of three that hang over the lip of the griddle edges, just like the factory set but less elegant. Stacked and wrapped up in an old sheet they make a package about 3/4" thick, 5" wide, and 16" long, making them very easy to carry as well.
