Ann - I believe that this calendar thread confuses everyone. If you get a moment maybe you could copy-n-paste your post above into a post in the main rally thread? I have been updating the first post in the main rally thread (as opposed to this calendar thread): https://community.lanceowners.org/top...y-1-17-14-to-1-19-14

Re: Northern CA LOA rally - 1/17/14 to 1/19/14 (1/20 for some)
Hi Allen/Allenc, Welcome to LOA and glad to hear that you are going to join us! This rally will be a great place for you to gain some good knowledge about your new 2285. Let me know how many nights you will be staying. For now I will put down 2 nights until you confirm. This thread that you have posted in is the calendar thread which is fine, but it also is sort of a goofy thread that doesn't show up in "Recent" posts or discussions on the main LOA forum page so posts can get lost or missed...

Sounds good John! Looking forward to meeting Clare as well. I'm not sure, but I think WoodGlue (4 nights) might be arriving on Thursday as well. That or a Tuesday departure. I have added your info. to the first post in the main rally thread. Thanks for the s'mores as well as the offer to reserve sites for the other non-reserved attendees! I will also cut-n-paste your post to the main rally thread which is here: https://community.lanceowners.org/top...y-1-17-14-to-1-19-14 *This is the "rally...

Here's another late addition Jeff. Originally thought we weren't going to be able to make it but we rescheduled some things and would love to attend if it's OK? We plan to arrive Friday (before dark and hopefully get a spot) and Depart Sunday morning. We'll bring some deserts for the potluck and Alice and I will be accompanied by our long haired Chihuahua, Sarah Marie. This really sounds like a lot of fun and we're looking forward to meeting everybody and checking out all the other Lances.

Re: Coleman Roadtrip LXE Portable Propane Grill
We added a high pressure T fitting to our main tank. We also carry smaller 1 lb bottles for our lantern, so we have both options. Consumption on this trailer has been much higher than in our old one, so I may just use the little bottles.

Re: Nature's Head Composting Toilet
Jim, I think you could accomplish your mod. What you would need to do would be to buy two liquids jugs. Modify one of them by inserting a bottom drain. From the bottom drain you'd connect the line. You'd have to drill out the bottom side of the main unit and make a slit about 2 times the height of the line. Then you'd need to rout out a bit of the floor to accommodate the line as it feeds back under the head to drain into the black tank. The Oatey plug that you'd use to cap the tank will...

David sounds like you have it all. The rest is improving on what Kaypee and I have done so we can copy LOL. My main goal was to make it easy to use and service and keep any handles out ot the shower curtain area. Greg

Re: Torklift Lower StableLoads on a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 towing a Lance 1575
Jeff, excellent write up and thanks for the photos. After looking at the two vids you posted regarding drilling the overload spring, I went out and checked what was underneath the Tundra. It will be interesting to see how they have engineered the kit for this truck as the overload spring rides against the main spring pack when the truck is in an unloaded state. Also, that overload spring is 5/8" thick! I guess I'll just have to wait and see what arrives. Here's a photo of my spring pack

TireMinder Smart TPMS - Smartphone Based Tire Pressure Monitor for RVs
http://www.minderresearch.com/...ure-monitor-for-rvs/ Our last TPMS (by TST) which we used for the past few years completely failed us last month so it's time to give another one a try. Having a single-axle trailer we realize the many benefits in monitoring the pressure & temperature of the TT's 2 tires as well as the main spare tire and a 2nd extreme emergency spare tire that is for trips that are more than a few hours from home (it will stay home for local trips). The main spare tire...

Re: Good Sam RV GPS
Last month we used our Good Sam/Rand McNally GPS for a cross-country trek - Colorado to Georgia, and return. Unfortunately, we were traveling without the TT (staying with family). The GPS worked like a charm. The main criticism I have is the speed limit it displays is often not accurate with the locally posted speed limit. This is not just occasionally, but a regular occurrence. I'm not sure why it's this way. In all other respects, we're really happy with the GPS. Don

Re: Lone Pine, CA Rally
Yay Mike & Penny. As of right now there are 7 sites left. When you get your confirmation and site number, be sure to post it either here in the calendar thread or preferably in the main rally thread on the discussion forum. Looking forward to seeing you two again.
