Re: Clam Six Pack 1660 Mag Screen Tent (or the Worlds easiest/fastest screen room)

R&V Spiker ·
I finally had a chance to check out the Sportcraft screen room. I had no problem with folding it back up. In fact, it was quite easy once I watched a youtube vid. That said, it's going back. I didn't care for the zipper as the fabric was tight making it impossible to zip with one hand which is important if you're bringing beers or glasses of wine into the shelter to enjoy. The other thing that makes me want to return it is that the fabric weave is not tight enough to ward off no-see ums.

Re: iBALL Wireless Trailer Hitch Camera

I absolutely love my iball. I've had a few trailer hook-up aids, but this is by far the best. I have been using it for about 1-1/2 years and trailer hookup, for me, is a lot easier than getting directions from a partner, as everyone thinks left and right differently, especially with hand signals. When the 9 volt battery starts getting a little low, there tends to be a bit of static, but a quick battery change remedies the static condition. If anyone at the Lone Pine Rally wants to try it,...

The Mythbusters proved that you cannot be electrocuted even when pissing on an electrified 3rd rail, so you should be good to "go".

Torklift Lower StableLoads on a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 towing a Lance 1575

Red Barchetta ·
We recently switched TV's. We went from a more than adequate 2000 Lincoln Navigator with a self-leveling rear-end (air bags) which towed our 1575 easily straight and true to a more than adequate new-to-us 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab LTZ (V8, 5.3L, factory tow package, integrated brake controller, ...). *Here is the thread on our TV switch - http://lanceowners.hoop.la/top...ed-to-a-new-to-us-tv While the truck is much more than adequate to handle our small, skinny, & light 1575...

Re: Dometic LP GasChecker (LPGC10)

Red Barchetta ·
Just had a positive experience on the back yard bbq tank (20 lb.). The bbq was off. I did not have a hand on the tank. There were no lights on anywhere around (all of my previous tests were in the garage with lights on or outside with lights on nearby). This time I cleaned the probe end with a wet paper towel & did not dry it off. I then immediately checked the tank. The results were pretty positive although with 3 missed/flashing readings. The LP level is right below the weld on the...

That's what I'm thinking. Plus there were no lights or other electronics on in the area. So far a hand on the tank or not on the tank makes no difference. Running a few more errands before getting the tank filled and back home ...

I'm back with 6.2 pounds of LP and the tank is as full as is possible. Once again, bbq is off, no hand on the tank, wet probe end, & no lights on. 3 readings with 4 misfires/flashing. Also used the hot water method which gave the precise level. The device doesn't work once you get off of a flat surface (90 degrees) as you can see below where the tank tapers at the top. Re: VIAIR 400P Automatic Function Portable Compressor

Excellent review and photos. I was hoping you'd post a photo with something like a hand next to the unit for size reference but your photo where you stuffed it into the back seat cubby did fine. I agree about coiled air hoses in this type of application. They are stiff and quite often become a nuisance when they catch on things like a tire as you pull the air chuck around to where it's needed. Those inflate times were great but would be even more meaningful if you also included the tire...
