Torklift Lower StableLoads on a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 towing a Lance 1575
We recently switched TV's. We went from a more than adequate 2000 Lincoln Navigator with a self-leveling rear-end (air bags) which towed our 1575 easily straight and true to a more than adequate new-to-us 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab LTZ (V8, 5.3L, factory tow package, integrated brake controller, ...). *Here is the thread on our TV switch - http://lanceowners.hoop.la/top...ed-to-a-new-to-us-tv While the truck is much more than adequate to handle our small, skinny, & light 1575...

Fully loaded rig very curvy & hilly tow test with stop-and-go traffic as well as up to 65 mph sections - Success! The 3 wedges on the fronts & 2 wedges on the rears is the perfect combo. for our set-up. Drove from Santa Rosa, CA to Bodega Dunes cg in Bodega Bay, CA with absolutely no issues. No sway (although we didn't have any to begin with), sponginess, or porpoising. The TV & TT travel as a single unit in braking, stopping, accelerating, cruising, over bumps & pot holes,...

Re: Lance Factory Tour and BBQ Rally
Any thoughts about taking Hwy 138 over to Acton. Last time, from Hwy 5, we dropped down to Santa Clarita and horseshoed our way back up to Acton. Google maps wants us to take Hwy 58 from 99 and make our way to Acton. No problem with that but it seems Hwy 138 might be more direct?

We are coming from the far east bay area ( Antioch) heading down I-5. according to google maps, the first choice is to stay on 5 and then east on 138. The second google choice is to take 5...

Re: Trailer-Aid "Plus" Tandem Tire Changing Ramp
I've had one of these on the trailer for years and finally had to put it to use this past summer. We had a blow out on hwy 84 and had to pull over on the side of the freeway. The shoulder was sloped at a pretty good angle and the semis whizzing by at 80 mph shook the trailer every time they passed by. If all I had to depend on was some sort of bottle jack, I'm pretty sure it would have become dislodged when one of those trucks whizzed by. The Trailer Aid is an invaluable tool for...
