Re: Clam Six Pack 1660 Mag Screen Tent (or the Worlds easiest/fastest screen room)

diamonds - It is great to hear that you are as happy with it as we are. We last used ours 2 weeks ago at a non-camping event and used 3 of the panels to block the sun. We'll be using it again in just over a week on a camping trip. By the way, your link just takes me to my empty Gmail inbox (web version, not the Gmail app). Since I don't use my Gmail account for anything other than my phone stuff I only got a parting good wish. Would love to have the newer video link.

Wikicamps app

Duck Dodgers ·
I downloaded the Wikicamps app the other day for my laptop, Android tablet and phone. I am not one who usually pays for a phone app but this time I did (there is a free version with ads). This is a great app for trip planning. In July we are heading to Glacier and then do a little Gem mining in MT and ID and then from there we are heading to OR for some Ghost Town exploration. This app made it a breeze to plan our route and find campgrounds to stay in. It has links for all the listed...

Lauren, I like these although more expensive....the hat clip has come in handy many times and much thinner the the one you posted takes one AAA...I also have a two AA version that is about as long as a pen but a lot thicker http://www.streamlight.com/en-...product.html?pid=144 One AAA http://www.streamlight.com/en-...product.html?pid=133 Two AA

Big E's List Of Recommended Camping Stuff

Big E ·
I thought I would make a list of stuff, products that have worked well for us. Some of the items are fan favorites, tried and true and widely used and accepted across the LOA spectrum of members. Others are little known, sleeper products if you will. Some have been passionately debated and others, not so much. Hope this list can be of use to somebody. To start things off simple, toilet paper. White Cloud Green Earth available at Wal Mart. Broke down more quickly than every other TP I tested,...

I downloaded the free version yesterday and after getting it setup, I think it will be a nice addition to the RV Parks and Campgrounds app I currently use.

Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt. It really was just a question. The original post, with no background info, made it sound as though it might be something new for you. If so, I thought I’d throw out some other options but it looks like you’re covered. As far as photo storage goes, a flash drive would certainly work (depending on number and size of photos) but it’s awfully susceptible to loss if it’s the only place your precious memories are stored. Look into one of the cloud...

Re: Mr. Heater Portable Buddy LP heater (supplemental while awake heat)

Kent Smith ·
I remembered Jeff talking about his Mr. Heater Buddy last year commenting that it works great while boondocking (no electricity). We are going on a 4-day camp out next week without hookups and I had always recharged my batteries with the solar and never worried about it. Now looking at the current forecast, we are supposed to have rain all 4 days. That means no recharging. With my Victron battery monitor I already know my furnace blower is a major battery hog. With my dual Group 29...

Jeff, I keep a smaller version in my winter emergency kit for my truck (in case I hit the tulips). Never thought of using it in the TT. Good suggestion though, and I think your cautions are certainly valid
