Re: Thetford Aqua Magic Residence RV Toilet

bens170 ·
BIG E, Your new toilet the foot flush on ours in the 5'er is on the other side. The ball valve will act up with age. I am having to replace ours for the second. By the way the inside bowl is it plastic or china bowl? Ours is the china bow. Now the TC that is a different critter, does not hold its water it leaks through the slide mechanism straight into the black tank. Have you tried super fine steel wool to remove the rust stain on the floor. Just a thought I had. Nice work on the install...

BAL X-Chocks

HavaBrew22 ·
From the manufacturer: The X-Chock Provides added stabilization and prevents tire shifts by applying opposing force to tandem tire applications. As opposed to other chocks, the X-Chock works with the tires’ natural movement instead of against them. Fits even the tightest of applications retracting down to 1 3/8” and extends to 10”. Rust inhibitive coating. Plated ratchet wrench with comfort bumper included. Lightweight, easy to store. Lockable for added security with optional 28015 Pad Lock.

Re: Trinova Plastic and Trim Restorer (...as well as trailer frames!)

R&V Spiker ·
Interesting. I may just have to give this a try as my frame paint is also looking old and tired, especially the back bumper which is starting to show signs of rust. Planning on selling the trailer soon and a product like this might just be enough to avoid having to repaint some of those areas. Thanks for posting.

Re: Camp Chef Yukon Double Burner Stove

Simon & B ·
We got a Camp Chef Ranger II Blind Stove . It's fantastic. Except that if it gets in any way wet, it starts to rust. We contacted Camp Chef, who blew us off about it. So, we used a scrubber to get rid of the rust and some high temperature spray paint. So far, so good. But beware...

Re: Why you want the Honda EU2200i Companion

The receptacles are 20 amp. Page 12 of the manual.(or look at the plug-NEMA 20 amp ) No need for the companion unless you are paralleling 2 generators or like the twistlok 30 amp plug.

The product is not a "paint" what it does is it clears off the hazing that most paints get after a while. The classic black frame paint is a prime example, with this product it gets a "like new" appearance, at least for a while...

I'm using a rust converter before painting the chassis and I'm curious as to the finish of the paint: gloss, semi gloss or matte? The trailer spent time near saltwater and needs some TLC.

Re: 2013 Lance 2385

KS Farm Girl ·
Our 1885 is listed as a 2014, but was built in 2013. Our slide very likely is the same as your 2385. What are you needing to know? We did have to have the slide bolted into the wall as it had an issue with the frame pulling away from the outer wall. We did lighten the load in the drawers to less than 50 lbs each, which is what Lance recommends, this includes the outer storage area. Otherwise, we haven't had problems with it. Attached is Lance's 2013 brochure that may give you some info.

Re: Stromberg Carlson 4500 On Sale

TSR Campers ·
I bought the S-C 4500# unit. It's waiting at home when we finish this 4 week trip. May be awhile before I use it. After getting rid of rust on the hitch where the Smart Jack makes contact, the Smart Jack has been working perfectly. Of course. The S-C 4500# got down to $212. I couldn't pass on it as a back-up. Just doing my bit to keep the economy going.

Quality of an 1172

Hans L ·
Hi everyone, I am just wondering if we bought a lemon or if other have similar issues. Pls see the list. What is worth is that Lance reaction to emails and phone call is not existent. Even the dealer we bought the Camper in August 2020 does not know what to do. Here we go_ 1)Valve for black water tank, the bottom needed to be opened 2) front cover of the awing flew of in strong winds, still waiting for the replacement 3) Leaking water heater 4) Batteries Not to talk about this topic. 1)...

We purchased an 1172 new built in Sept. 2021. We found that some items are 2023 so we know ours was one of the last built. I've answered what we experienced below, hope it helps. Remember that some items are not Lance. 1)Valve for black water tank, the bottom needed to be opened Ours leaked so we bought an additional clear valve to assure it stayed sealed. 2) front cover of the awing flew of in strong winds, still waiting for the replacement Ours did this on the initial drive home. 1UP bike rack

Slotown ·
So I bit the bullet and bought a 1UP bike rack for my 1985. I was using the Jack-It but I was worried I would scratch the window with the inside bike eventually getting it up and down. The 1UP bike rack was designed for vehicles driving offroad and it is built super strong. It's all aluminum so it will not rust. I also like the way it "lifts" the bikes up to preclude dragging on the ground. So easy to attach the bikes now. Takes about five minutes total. I purchased the 2" Super Duty model.
