I’ve been using Allstays for years. Not sure if I installed the free version or paid something like $2.95 for it at the time. But, for all those years I would check out campground locations by using the map and linking off the little information link. Well, today I went to it and it now wants me to buy a $19.95 annual subscription. Plus everything else was locked out. Has anyone one else noticed this?

I had Allstays for years and they stopped on Android phones a year ago.
I also paid but don’t remember the amount.
I had seen or gotten a notice a while ago that they were going to a subscription model. However, when I just opened it, it said that they were going to grandfather in all of the people who had paid for the app (like me) and I was able to open it. I would guess that you had a free version?
I've been a subscriber for a number of years. Just yearly though. Never had the app as I won't go to the dark side. Lol. Renewed allstays pro before this trip with a discount of three years for half price about $45. The site has come in handy for me. Used to be if you reviewed a place they would extend your subscription a bit. I don't think that applies anymore.
Have you tried typing in www.allstays.com/campgrounds on a computer browser and select a state? Same info, no charge. See if that works.
Pro from a browser gives me everything. Worth the fee in my opinion. Easy to filter content.
I had the Android version & was grandfathered when it went subscription. But I found it didn't update all the places & when I got a new phone I couldn't reinstall the app. They gave me a discount on the subscription.
Well…….., in the past I have used it maybe a couple times each year, and sometimes not at all…….. so with my history of such little use I will not be paying the $19 annual fee and will not be signing up……., there are other options I can explore.

Guess we're grandfathered in with the old app on our phones.
Most often though, we do our planning when sitting at a park or home, when online by logging into www.allstays/campgrounds .

Doug,
Prior to my post (above) when I went to the app on my phone there was a message I had to pay a $19 fee to view AllStays. However just a few minutes ago when I went to the app I got a different message that I am grandfathered in to continue using AllStays………. yippee !
I just opened it on my phone and all it wanted from me was to accept cookies. I chose which ones it could use and went right in, just like before. No notice about grandfathering or $$.
