I purchased our second Lance it's a 2017.5 2295 about a year ago from a somewhat dishonest individual.  All the tanks were mostly full which I thought was odd.  The bed was switched out from queen to double.  The cylinder fell out of the entry door when we got home.  The batteries and tires needed replacement.  It needed a good cleaning inside and out but I saw everything and knew I could fix them and still be way under budget.  My wife liked the layout and colors, so did I.  It had and has good bones.

On the way home we emptied the fresh water tank and put in about 10 gal of fresh water.  The water pump never worked again...no big deal an easy fix.

Water pump replacement:  I replaced the old pump with the same brand and model Shurflo 2088-554-144 and until this week my wife hated it for the noise it produced.  So this week I replaced it with a Seaflo SFDP1-00-055-42.  This water pump was about $70 including tax from Amazon and it is wonderful, I highly recommend it.  A little vibration and noise but maybe only 10% of the old one.

the Surflo pump check valve my 2017.5 1685  kept failing and overflowing the water tank when hooked up to city water (was intermittent and when taken apart was clean)  . I replaced it with the Seaflo ( i also have a surge tank) The Seaflo is much quieter than the Surflo, It also has a by-pass valve to keep down the cycling/pulsing.  I had to play with the pressure adjustment to get it "dialed" in for use with the surge tank but now is not only much quieter but there is no pulsing at any low level of flow. Would recommend it over the Surflo any day.
