I heard somewhere that to get accurate information when using remote sensors on trailers that the rubber stems needed to be swapped out for metal stems is that correct?

The flow through sensors are not compatible with rubber stems.  If you want to use the flow through sensors then yes you would have to have metal stems.

However, cap sensors will go right on a rubber stems and be very accurate.  We mainly sell the the cap sensors for that reason.  But if you want flow through sensors we do offer those as well.

We also sell just the sensors so if you already have a system and just want new cap sensors, we can do that too.

Let me know what you think...

Having used both the flow-thru and now the cap sensors, I can tell you that the caps are much easier to use. The air flow through the flow-thru was seemingly obstructed and was very slow at accepting air. They stuck out beyond the rim too which meant I had to be very careful not to park to close to a curb or risk breaking off the sensor causing a rapid deflation event. The way I look at it is...with either sensor, the cap must be removed to inflate a tire so why have sensors that require metal stems and have the risk of breaking off if snagged up against a curb. JMHO.

Hi Tee,

We have added the color monitor to the LOA Store.  Stock has been ordered and the inventory is on the way to us.

https://lanceowners.org/produc...replacement-upgrade/

It will be a a couple days until we can ship it to you so if you need it right now, you can get it here on Amazon and get it as soon as March 2nd.  But if you can wait a few days, I would recommend getting it from us

These are now in stock and we can ship as soon as tomorrow.

Ok folks, I finally installed my TST.  I paired the sensors and installed them and everything read great on the display with it cycling from tire to tire. I then turned the unit off and when I turned it back on nothing was displayed.  What am I doing wrong?

Edit: I tried it again and now it’s working, I guess I just have to be patient.

I learned to program my TST system (older color version), I had to disconnect it from the Tow's power.  I have the TST pressure sensors on my Tow and Trailer's tires, even though my Tow has a tire pressure monitoring system--this way all the info is on one monitor, which is located in the bottom left corner of my dash.

Also, get the Sun Shade from tsttruck.com, it will help with the glare.
