Just looking for recommendations on a dehumidifier.  We are doing some winter camping and the condensation is very noticeable. Done lots of reading g on it and all the recommendations like leave a vent open, don't cook on the stove top, don't shower, tape the wife's mouth shut(husband's suggestion), etc. Still have an uncomfortable amount of condensation. Dehumidifier was one of the highly suggested recommendations.  Anyone use one in their camper?

We run a ProBreeze mini pretty much all the time, usually keeping it on the floor by the stove. We also often run a small EvaDry EDV-100 in the bathroom.

We often place Reflectix sheets on the inside of the windows, but when it gets extra cold that doesn't seem to stop the condensation. On those nights I will also put Reflectix sheets on the outside of all the windows. I use velcro to keep them in place.

The DampRid hanging bags also seem to help, especially in the pantry where canned foods collect a lot of condensation.

Welcome to the LOA family, Joe and Michelle.

I can't help with your question as we live and camp where humidity is a very rare problem. The times we have had a short-term problem with it, we turned the bathroom vent on and opened a window just a bit.  That has been enough for our bit of internal moisture.

I did put Reflectix under the rear dinette seat, the head of the mattress and on the front window. Those are areas that get cold air leakage into the TT.  Not sure it helps with condensation, but it does with comfort.  DH has now insulated the basement passthrough under the bed and will be doing the storage area under the dinette.

I added a small 20ltr compressor style dehumidifier, few years ago.  It helps, in high humidity areas, when it's not hot enough for AC.  It takes couple hundred watts, so unless you have enough batteries or shore power, it just takes up room.  I first tried mini dehumidifier 12vdc type.  The best one, took out cup of water, in a day.  Damp Rid did even less.  You add pint of water, per day, per person, just breathing.

When it's cold and outside air, has low humidity, opening vent, does help a lot.  When it's 40f and 80% humidity, not so much.

We camp 3 seasons in the northwest and that means condensation here in the Pacific North Wet. We also experience lots of condensation. What works for us so far is this. We don't worry about anything that creates condensation. We know we will make it. We use whatever we need to. In the mornings, once we have had our coffee, we crack most or all of the windows for several hours, even if its raining. Then when we come home I plug in a serious dehumidifier.  The little desk top ones aren't worth the watts you will spend running them unless you are plugged into shore power. We are pretty much dry camp only so that's a big deal for us.

I plug in the big unit once we are at home so we never have any mildew or mold issues. So far so good.

This is the large unit we have and it works well so far: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Z...uct_details&th=1
