i am just the opposite, heck, i drilled 20 holes on sunday for a new mod, will publish later.  hadnt had the  unit home an hour when i first picked it up and was already deep into mods with drills saws etc.  did the same to my last popup camper, its a work in progress.  had that unit for 12 years.  probably have this 1685 for as long or longer.  i customize it to my needs.

Update:  after 48 hours the soap dispenser is working great for us.  As long as the command hooks hold, I think this product is a keeper for us.  No bottles or soap dishes cluttering the lavatory.  And showers are quick and efficient, and don't leave puddles of water outside the shower curtain.  At the end of this outing, we'll take the dispenser off the wall, clean it, and put it away for the winter.  Next spring, we'll bring it out again.  One note:  we'll also take it off the wall whenever we're on the road.  That way it won't stress the adhesives holding it to the wall with constant vibration.

I notice your picture showed the regular command strips.  They also make ones specifically for showers/wet areas that can be used to stick up soap dishes etc.  They sell the strips separately from the soap dishes and you might try those if your regular ones come unstuck.  I got mine at Camping World but have seen them at my local hardware store.

Thanks for the information!  Our current command strips seem to be holding up.  Should they fail, however, we'll certainly look for the ones made specifically for showers - didn't realize they existed until now.
