Tabletop Upgrade for Our 2185

wayyy2weird ·
Shout out to Fantin Woodworking who we ordered a solid wood tabletop from. Oh man, is it beautiful! The tabletop that came with the trailer was bowing we think from regularly being used as a bed. This new tabletop is solid and sturdy. It fits perfectly in the pole. Wish we would have done this years ago. Thanks so much, Fantin!!!

That looks super nice!!! Ours has a slight bow as well. Used as a bed only once. I think it may be a moisture/humidity issue. Impenetrable on the top, completely penetrable on the bottom. MFD is a terrible choice for a potentially humid environment… well IMHO, any environment.

Thank you all for your kind words! @95 Lowbuck , I am not sure what was used. We commissioned Fantin Woodworking to build it. They did an excellent job. I highly recommend.

Thanks so much @wayyy2weird for the shoutout. I’m so happy you loved it! Looks great in your trailer! @Marky Mark , happy to answer questions you may have, I can definitely make you one. You can find more details here: https://fantinwoodworking.com/...riant=49444959617271 @_Steve , you are absolutely right, MDF is really not a good choice of material for anything that can be exposed to humidity and frankly anything that will be put under the forces like the ones these tabletops are subjected...
