We have used a queen size Travasak since the late 80s which I imagine is similar to a Bed Maid. Unfortunately, Travasak is out of business they are no longer available. The Travasak has a summer side and a winter side with real sheets inside attached with Velcro and are easily removable and washable. It's a no hassle way to make up the bed in the overhead bedroom of a truck camper. My wife hasn't struggled with bed making in a camper in nearly 30 years. Bill

Watched someone set one up at a softball tournament we attended last summer in Virginia, and I was impressed. Then I watched them take it down.... They were probably doing something wrong, but I sure wish I'd had a video camera. There's little doubt I could have made serious money on AFV!

Last summer, we hooked up with the Red Barchetta clan for a fun filled campout. The skeeters, while not overly excessive, were enough for all to be looking for some relief and since I don't do repellant sprays unless absolutely driven insane, when Jeff pulled out his Clam, it was a welcome relief. We just retired our Clam after about 3 years of use. Out of the 3 years it's probably been set up over half that time. We've used it at home, camping and gate guarding in South Texas. Understand the Texas sun is brutal as are summer storms. Overall this is a good product, easy, as said by others, to setup, good in higher winds if staked well. Downsides are the material has suffered badly in the sun, does and has always leaked at the roof seams ( not bad, but enough to be annoying), and...

Thanks Randy. We would have loved to have it for RITV 2016, but it doesn't look like that will happen. Dealer models first, and that maybe best, the assembly line maybe fine tuned by then. We're hoping for March. We've just spent 2 weeks detailing our 2285, shines like a new pair of patent leather shoes, even some new graphics!!! Will be good to see ALL of you in Oregon this Summer!! Recently purchased a Hutch Mountain propane conversion kit for one of our two Honda gens. Anxious to install and gauge performance. Used one of two gens during a trip to Grand Canyon this past summer. Camping at higher elevations we found we did not need the 2nd gen since no A/C was necessary. We also use our gens as backup power for our home. We can run critical home circuits on one gen. Being able to tap into our 400 gallon propane heating supply makes this very handy for extended power...

Bummer, things always come up when you least expect it. My wife and I go up every month for about 5 days starting on this trip in June. It’s how we beat the heat in Phoenix... i’ll Post our next trip this weekend. Since it is so close to the valley the sites get booked up quickly. Fall could be a really nice trip with the colores changing. These was someone who was coming up and didn’t have a reservation. I would hook up with them and see if they can reserve it just after you cancel. Think...
