Re: Good Sam RV GPS

DandV ·
We've been using the Good Sam GPS for over a month now. Haven't used it yet for an RV trip (not before April of this year), but we did take it with us to Atlanta, GA over Christmas. So far, we're very pleased with it. We've been configuring it for the points of interest (gas stations, restaurants, etc.) we want it to display while we're on the road. We've used the wi-fi feature to connect through my cell phone and get real-time weather reports and forecasts, which is nice. We've also used...

TST TPMS New and Improved Wide Screen Color Monitor

R&V Spiker ·
I just received my TST Wide Screen color monitor yesterday and got it up and running on the bench. Wow! The display is real nice with larger digits and added color. However, I do have a few issues I'd like to report. The new monitor is now powered by a 5 volt mini plug just like what one uses for their smart phone (Android, not Apple). This presents a challenge as I had the previous 12 volt monochrome monitor's power cord hard wired into the overhead console in my Tundra which was a nice...

Traeger Portable Tabletop Grill (TPT+Grill)

Advnturer ·
In an earlier post, I included the Traeger Camp Grill in a list of what to pack when headed out. I received an inquiry about it and thought it might be a good product to add to the Product Reviews page. Product: Traeger Portable Tabletop Grill (TPG+Grill) http://www.traegergrills.com/s...es/ptg/TFT17LLA.html I have used this grill exclusively since I bought my first Traeger at Costco last spring. This is a Pellet Grill that will do everything asked of it. I loved my full size so much, I...

Re: Trojan 30XHS 12-volt group 30 deep-cycle battery (130 AH)

brianV ·
We use the factory solar controller and/or the factory PD-4050 controller for normal charging, and a Vector 1089A digital battery charger for equalization. Peak voltage in that mode is 16.2, temperature compensated.

Brian, when you equalize, do you disconnect the battery and Vector charger from the trailer electrical system to prevent the loads and charge controller from seeing 16.2 volts?

All In ... Garmin RV 760 + ecoroute + Backup camera

T BROWN ·
Lets see 399.00 + 85.00 + 149.00 + tax YIKS expensive. RV 760 (just local trips so far) rate it 10/10 ecoroute (7/10) - it won't do what I purchased it to do - ie: you can't use E.R. while in RV mode - Garmin "really" what where you thinking...

Good Sam RV GPS

DandV ·
We decided to give the Good Sam RV GPS a try...powered by Rand McNally (RVND 7725 LM).  Found that if we bought it online, we got it for $50 less than in the store (as advertised in the Good Sam monthly sales brochure). Received it Friday,...

Re: Smarter Tools 2000iQ Generator

WoodGlue ·
The Smarter Tools 2000IQ doesn't have a vent or a cap vent at all. The way I "unflooded" my unit was to: 1) Let it sit for a few hours (if you aren't in a hurry to use it) or 2) Turn the fuel source to "off" , also set the generator to "off" (as in on/off) and just pull the string about 10 times. then, wait a minute or two, turn the fuel switch to on and then turn the generator to "on" and pull the choke out about 1/2 way and give it a big, honking pull. Also, make sure you have the "eco"...
