That's more understandable, than way I put it. I've only had one host and couple campers, complain about my leaving AC running, while gone for day. Breaker was off once, when I returned, I wasn't impressed. I also had someone unplug boat charger. Of course nobody knew anything about either.

Interesting question, Robert. My take is.... Bluetooth has a 30 foot range. A WIFI router has a 100-300 foot range. Thus, the thermostat would have a 30 or 100-300 foot range depending on the choice of mode, BT or WIFI. When Harriet walked through her park, her phone was too far from the thermostat to utilize the 30 foot range of the Bluetooth. So, it had to rely on WIFI. Yep, we were at Craters of the Moon this last trip, it was getting late in the day and we really wanted to spend some more time in the park, I had some business that needed to be done so we didn't stay. Starlink would have solved that. The odd thing about Alabama Hills is that when we stay at Tuttle Creek and have a nice T-Mobile signal there, but not at Alabama Hills. There is probably a tower that services the community down from Tuttle Creek.
