Hello, My husband & I just purchased our Lance Camper 1191 this weekend and have recently become LOA members! This forum stuff is all new to me, but I'll give it a shot! Anyways, I was excited to see that there will be a rally in January 2014 at Lake Solano Park.. this is great because it's near where we live! i missed the online booking window...late as usual! i'll probably come up thursday and leave saturday. i'd hate to arrive friday on a holiday weekend and find all the good "first come, first serve" site taken. if there is a way i can hold sites for other "first come, first serve" campers, i'd be happy to do that. i have no problem paying in advance for anyone here. unfortunately, i require a complex diet due to kidney failure, so i'll be out for the group meals. i will however bring plenty...

Hi Engunir, The rally will probably only have Lance owners and anyone else who is interested in Lance are always welcome to stop by or camp with us! We don't have any vendors scheduled, but they're always welcome. Our knowledge base is pretty experienced, so if you or any attendees have any questions we are always there to answer any questions. To date, we have a whale watching trip planned and then there are always wine tasting trips, potluck dinners and such. We also plan on driving at...

Wow, all I can say is what a great group of people!! I had the pleasure of spending a night fireside at Pismo with this wonderful group and just got done telling Jack Cole (Lance President), how gracious and fun they were to hang with. We are due to get our new Lance 1995 a few days before this event. Newbies. What a way to get started! It was a no brainer...plus it's my birthday. My husband is off the hook, new TT, vacation, concert, air show and meeting new friends. He's already done his shopping. We didn't know what SWAG was either?!! Really excited.

Bad news came in the form of a jury summons today. U.S. District Court on March 22. It says I need to be available for 30 days so I am changing my status to a Maybe. I have never been selected for a jury but there is always a first time. This really goofs up our plans for our annual April Hill Country getaway. Maybe I'll get lucky.

Hello, my wife and I just bought a 2011 Lance 1985 after about a 2 year search. We are happy, but a little overwhelmed. I do not want to do anything wrong. We live in Damascus, Oregon Would anyone with a wealth of knowledge on this TT be interested in walking us through all the systems. I am not an idiot, but I want to take very good care of it. FYI: I met with Ron today. Their new to them 2011 1985 is in great shape. We went over some basics operational items. A lot of the questions brought back memories of when I was a new owner. I have offered to go camping with them (aka: a really small LOA gathering). :-) And......of course I showed him where the low point drains were located....as that was one of my first questions when joining the forum. LOL We had a great time and look forward to meeting up with Ron in the near future.

Yeah, I mistakenly said site #116. The correct site is #114! Just a slip of my index finger on the keyboard. I'll arrive on Wednesday, the 6th, and depart on Sunday, the 10th. I'll probably move down to Canyon Point and check in there for a couple of days or more. I won't be in a big hurry to get back to the heat!!

I just saw this. Was it ever posted in the discussion? Wish I could have made it but it's only a week apart from the annual SCIO. I've been trying for the past 3 years to have someone do a GTG who lives in CO. All I got was places to camp but no one wanted to set it up. Thank you Rob for doing this. My U.S. map looks like it's missing a tooth and it's CO. I'm planning on a trip there this year so I'll keep in touch, maybe we can hook up since you know the places....

Rob! We gave one away at RITV 3. Joe they work very well and a number of my Lance friends have installed them. One installed one in his 2285 with a 15k btu and runs it with a Honda 2000i. If caught in a hot area, we find an RV park with hookups! Happy Campers BobnRobin

I was up there last weekend and visited the Aspen Campground. I had a conversation with two very nice ladies at the check-in booth and they confirmed that many sites are left for walk-in campers on a "first come-first served" basis. My suggestion is, like Rob said, get up there Thursday evening or early Friday and get one of those non-reservable sites. It's a beautiful campground on spite of no hookups!

Sorry been gone since Friday morning early just now getting caught up . We will be arriving Friday June 8th site 107 staying until Sunday then moving over to Black Canyon Rim campground to hopefully see the herd of wild horses . Heading home from there on Monday . Myself my Wife and two dogs . Just got home from Carlsbad caverns New Mexico with the TT . Had a blast !!!

I live in Payson AZ . Just drove my Jeep up to woods canyon and willow lake and drove the 300 rim road yesterday. Everything is pretty dry . Thanks to Galvanizd for posting this. We have found that during fire restriction times we were still able to use our portable fire pit with lava rock and propane. Not sure if that will be allowed given the extreme dry conditions right now. Hope for rain before June 6-12 rolls around. Really looking forward to meeting everyone! We would like to plan a nightly happy hour at 5:30pm, at out site 117. This gives everyone time to eat then come relax for an hour or two with their favorite beverage.

Bummer, things always come up when you least expect it. My wife and I go up every month for about 5 days starting on this trip in June. It’s how we beat the heat in Phoenix... i’ll Post our next trip this weekend. Since it is so close to the valley the sites get booked up quickly. Fall could be a really nice trip with the colores changing. These was someone who was coming up and didn’t have a reservation. We are going unless the forest gets shut down, at this point it doesn’t look likely but if there is another big fire in the area between now and then it could change. I just got off of the phone with the lady in charge of campgrounds on the rim . I was moving Sunday night over to Black Canyon rim campground for my wife to hopefully see the wild horse herd that lives near there . She called to let me know that its now closed and was able to get me into another campground for Sunday . Anyway I asked about Aspen campground and she said they do not foresee having to close it . There is currently no fires threatening that area .

Rob and Jayne, I want to thank you both for organizing a wonderful getaway for us Arizona Lance Owners. Woods Canyon Lake is now going to be a recurring trip for us.
