Hope it works out with the wiring issues. I've been thinking about one of these or the similar ARE cap, but don't want to lose the truck features.

Update-- RackNRoad-- Apparently their tech that knew of the issue with Fords was out the week I had the cap installed. He contacted me to apologize for the problems, but they do not have the ability to hardwire the light. Per his prior experience, additional diode/resistor components are required for the hardwire, or the truck will also report issues from this. Just a preliminary review, only had it for 3 days so far... Got an RSI Smartcap installed on my F-150 this week. The Smartcap is a canopy manufactured in South Africa. Pros: Made of stainless steel, not fiberglass. Custom version available for many newer truck models. Weighs less than fiberglass, ~200 lbs.
