Re: Sistema Easy Egg Microwave Cooker

Carrie Johnson ·
We have two of the Systema Noodle Bowls and love them. I like to toss some cut up Yukon Gold potatoes with a little olive oil, seasonings, diced onion, diced bell peppers and microwave them in one of the bowls for about six minutes in the Lance microwave. These containers also work well with canned soups. The fastenings are very user friendly and open easily. You're unlikely to end up wearing your meal when you take the lid off. Now you've got me thinking about this egg bowl....

Re: Honda EU2000i Generator Review

Got my own Honda EU2000i generator today and my No Spill gas can and all the misc doodads,, It took abut 10 pulls on the first times to start the thing, but as of far, it's a great, super quiet genny, I put a magnetic dipstick in there to catch shavings, which are going to happen. I also installed a Hardline Tach/Hour meter, which was a lot easier on the Honda than the Smarter Tools Genny I had. Gassed up a with a little Sta-bil gas protectant, also put in 10/w 30 synthetic oil and will...

I recently sold another type of small motor Honda that has been beat on, neglected, and abused in harsh environments for over 30 years! (Only about 10 years by me) I think I changed the oil 3 or 4 times in that 10 years. Bike didn't cost me much, and I just wanted to ride. Found out when I was selling it that I had cracked the frame (1985 Suspension technology ain't what it is today) but that motor simply will... not... die. Yeah, I think you'll get your money's worth out of your Honda.

Peek Polish

Frank 2285 ·
I just wanted to say something about a product made by one of our own members, Robert Peek @Eileen and Robert Peek. Many of you may have picked up a sample pack of Peek Polish at a rally. I'm not sure how many of us have really tried it. I finally did this week, and the results were amazing. A little background: My 2011 trailer was stored for 2 years at a facility under the flight path of John Wayne airport. It was covered pretty well with jet fuel residue. It was also parked between two old...

Smarter Tools 2000iQ Generator

Pick one of these up at Costco for $599.99.   Some of the things I like about it are;   1)  Cheaper than the Honda or Yamaha versions 2)  Manufacturer 3 year warranty (Yamaha only offers a 2 year) 3)  Costco stands behind the...

2 more mods to the 2000iQ: 1) A magnetic dipstick (sale on eBay or Amazon) to help collect the little metal shavings in the oil. 2) A oil drain plug - helps keep oil changes cleaner (also on eBay) Mo money Mo money!! WoodGlue

Oops, I almost forgot a few other modifications/info that you'll need! 1) Generator Hour Meter Link ( easy mod to make, just wrap the wire around the spark plug wire and secure it well) 2) A nice cover (Yamaha 2000 covers fit perfectly!) 3) Link for the dipstick and magnetic plug 4) A few extra Spark Plugs (these are the correct ones) I also broke my generator in, for 20 hours (not all at once) and then I changed the oil (Yamalube) Don't let the burning credit card scorch yer buttocks! For those who specifically have the Smarter Tools 2000w g en...did you have trouble starting it up? I just tried it out for the first time (at home). We are not high altitude, so if that could make a difference, it doesn't here...it is brand new, just arrived from Costco yesterday (they don't carry it locally, so I had to order it). Put in the oil and new gas as directed. Followed the directions...yes, my son was helping me and we read the directions and did each step as indicated. After...
