Dish drying mat for flip-up counter extension

Red Barchetta ·
We have and use 2 large drying mats at home and really like them. On our current trip we found the perfect size for our counter extension. It was $8.00 at a local backpacking store. My wife modified it by sewing 2 small pieces of Velcro so that it doesn't blow off the screened side of the door handle when drying or fall off while in transit. It's not as thick as our mats at home, but is perfect for camping. Like ours at home it is washable. Here are a few shots as well as a screenshot of a...

Re: Northern CA LOA rally - 1/17/14 to 1/19/14 (1/20 for some)

Red Barchetta ·
Hi Allen/Allenc, Welcome to LOA and glad to hear that you are going to join us! This rally will be a great place for you to gain some good knowledge about your new 2285. Let me know how many nights you will be staying. For now I will put down 2 nights until you confirm. This thread that you have posted in is the calendar thread which is fine, but it also is sort of a goofy thread that doesn't show up in "Recent" posts or discussions on the main LOA forum page so posts can get lost or missed...

In map view, it's usually in the upper right or lower left. I don't have the same model Garmin as Mike, but I've had three Garmins in the last 10...

Re: Clam Six Pack 1660 Mag Screen Tent (or the Worlds easiest/fastest screen room)

Red Barchetta ·
Just an update - We have used this screen room extensively (including our current 3-night trip) and it is showing absolutely no signs of wear or tear. Still looks new & gets a perfect score from us. *If I had to find a fault it would be the collapsed length. If we need both back seats of the TV then we simply store it on the bed in the TT (we keep the storage/carrying bag clean & off of the ground so the bed stays clean).

Also, DirectTV will be discontinuing all SD service in February 2019. I’m not sure what all the current owners of the SD equipment are going to do but I imagine they will be switching to Dish.

Re: Dometic LP GasChecker (LPGC10)

Red Barchetta ·
Just had a positive experience on the back yard bbq tank (20 lb.). The bbq was off. I did not have a hand on the tank. There were no lights on anywhere around (all of my previous tests were in the garage with lights on or outside with lights on nearby). This time I cleaned the probe end with a wet paper towel & did not dry it off. I then immediately checked the tank. The results were pretty positive although with 3 missed/flashing readings. The LP level is right below the weld on the...

Re: Maxx Air

I found the unit remote very handy...it takes a few times to get all the functions figured out. Once you know the ones you like and use most often you can almost do it in the dark. the fan is very quiet when running below 60%, but at 100% it sure does evac the stale air. Used the circulator once on the last trip, but figured the heater was doing enuf so why use the battery. The data display on the remote is useful and easy to read. I like the current temp info as well on the display. The...
